We all need our own way to connect with the spirit of aloha.
Your “aloha” may come from a different culture; mine comes from the Kona side of the Big Island of Hawai’i.
This is where I learned about the spirit of aloha, the wisdom (ike) of our elders, and the beauty of giving and doing thing for others without ever expecting anything in return (kokua).
I feel connected with the land (aina) there. It’s easy for me there. My heart is always open.

Here in LA, I am much busier, more stressed (so are my boys), and it is hard to re-connect being so far away from the island sometimes.

But I find peace, solace and connection through our plumerias (which my brother spent hours and hours of love and care growing and nurturing), and believe it or not, through Zen Stax.

I knew if I ever started a company it would embody Hawaiian culture because I need more of that in my day-to-day life. And I want to share that aloha spirit with the world.

I hope you feel that through my brand and what I put out into the world.
