Interstellar Lab’s Bloom prototype made a memorable debut at XPRIZE Visioneering 2024 in California where we presented Mission Little Prince! Bloom arrived in style onboard Venturi’s FLEX rover, driven by Astrolab CEO Jaret Matthews and astronaut Dr. Sian Proctor. We also had the honor of introducing Mission Little Prince to Neil deGrasse Tyson.

Discover BLOOM : our new BioPod designed for lunar application.
BLOOM is an autonomous controlled-environment module designed to grow plants in a closed-loop system on the lunar surface. Our 12U payload is equipped with plant life-support system, sensors, cameras and a speaker. Data captures will help us understand lunar environmental impact on plants.
BLOOM is crafted for Mission Little Prince, an initiative to grow roses on the Moon in partnership with Fondation Antoine de Saint-Exupéry pour la Jeunesse and will be transported by ’s FLEX rover. The mission is currently scheduled to fly onboard ’s Starship during its first commercial flight, with a launch window set for 2027/2028.
This marks the initial step in deploying our BioFarming platform on the Moon—a sustainable and reliable solution to establish a permanent human base and support future missions to Mars.

We were excited to unveil Mission Little Prince last week at the Frontier event in Lake Como, Italy and showcase the first payload prototype to grow roses on the Moon!
We want to extend a massive thank you to the organisers of this incredible event Type one ventures, Trousdale Ventures and Banca Investis to premiere in collaboration with Fondation Antoine de Saint-Exupéry pour la Jeunesse.
Scheduled to launch in 2027, our roses will journey aboard 's Starship and will be deposited on the Moon by 's FLEX rover.
