There is a reason the Annex ramen is different from any other ramen 🍥
Our ramen is inspired by the very unique “Jiro Style” and it contains a massive amount of bean sprouts on top, thick noodles, back fat, all in pork base “tonkotsu” soup 🐷
Some describe Jiro Ramen as “cult-like” or the “best junk food” 🍜😆 It is especially popular with young guys in Japan and we called them addicts “Jiro-rian”.
The unique flavor is not for everyone, but once you are hooked on it, you cannot go back to regular ramen ⚡ and you will become a true Jiro-rian.
Definitely come hungry and enjoy our giant bowl of ramen 💜
We are sad to announce that our beloved Dry Style 🍋🌶 will be phased out at the end of November. We didn’t think it would be loved by so many people, and wanted to take the time to make sure you all can enjoy this one last time before we say goodbye 🙏🏼 We are cooking up another item that will be joining our menu soon so don’t worry 😆🤤

🔥 Tsukemen love 🍜
Been craving ramen like crazy, and being sensitive to noodle texture, I simply can’t take ramen to go because of the way the noodles get (soggy, softer and less chewy). That’s when I looked up Tsujita Annex and was so happy to find out they’re doing outdoor dining 🤩 So had to get it for dinner last night... 😋
📝Tsujita Annex has some of the best tsukemen in LA, or elsewhere for that natter. Tsukemen if you don’t know, is “dipping ramen” - meaning that the noodles come in a separate bowl, and you eat it by dipping the noodles one bite at a time into the very thick broth, and “slurp” it (as the restaurant signs indicate) to experience the best taste. You can drink the soup, but since it’s heavier than regular ramen broth, I would suggest small amounts at each time.
❗️The main difference between the regular Tsujita across the street and this one (the Annex) is that the broth here is pork based, and the original location is a mixed seafood & pork broth. It’s much heavier at the annex, but SO TASTY! 🤤 I literally gobble up every last bit because: the noodles are unbelievably chewy with the perfect texture and thickness, the broth is packed with flavor and the meat (chashu) is tender and juicy. Everything is perfection.... 😋
They have several variations of the tsukemen to choose from!
