Fresh white with a few pops of colour, the perfect hot weather combo

The Passage of Time series is now available. Hand cut natural vegetan leather on wood, these pieces explore the contrasts between the chaos and lack of control within nature, vs the rigidity and organization of modern life. Made from undyed, naturally tanned leather, these pieces will continue to darken over the years with exposure to light and air. An ever evolving piece of art, that the owner lives with and accepts, without knowing a specific outcome.

Custom designing fabric for specific areas of reupholstery is one of my favourite things to do. Creating the collage for the four illustrated panels of this sofa took hours, but it was worth it in the end!

Im always on the hunt for patterned fabrics that are versatile enough to go with many room styles, and our “Shattered Stripes” in blue fits the bill.

This curved sectional was something I had in my mind for at least six months before I was finally able to bring it to fruition. Completely new foam, new performance fabric on the body, new solid wood feet and custom printed cotton canvas on the backrest, designed by me, using modified sketchbook art from an early 20th century Dutch artist named Leo Gestel. We know not everyone has the perfect space for such a piece, so we’re working on a few projects that will allow you to take a small piece of this design home, coming Spring 2023!

The love/hate relationship I have with this lamp is very real. When I found it on FB marketplace I immediately knew how good it would look painted red. Unfortunately when I picked it up I realized it was a cheap piece of junk, the bottom half weighs almost nothing compared to the shade, making it extremely tippy. Even with the shade off this stupid thing blew over three times while I was painting it. I tried to remedy the tippy issue by adding wood to widen the base and make it heavier after painting. It helped and the lamp is now stable but my relationship with it was forever marred. She does look pretty great in pics though! A few more photoshoots and I’ll be giving her away though so if you’re in LA and want to know when I’m done with her let me know! You get the reward for reading this extra long caption 😉

I got up on a ladder to get this shot, and Lizzie appears to be fearing for my life. The Scout Headboard is the biggest piece we make, so sometimes a little creativity is needed when getting all the angles!

Here we are, Monday morning and pondering the merits of another deadstock vintage fabric pillow cover. My only regret with this fabric is that I wasn’t able to find enough to upholster an entire couch (I have a sectional at home in need of an upgrade) It’s the perfect shade of burnt sienna brown with mustardy gold geometric shapes, which we highlighted with a gold zipper and linen backing.

As someone who’s lived in five different cities, six different apartments and three different houses, furniture versatility is one of the major factors I take into account when designing new things. This set is vintage, and I knew it was worth recovering due to its ability to work as one piece or two. The original design didn’t include backrest cushions, so we added these to improve the comfort, but also give you the option of using them elsewhere in the home to tie your colour palette together.

We launched so many new things this fall that we haven’t even had a chance to talk about them all here! The Tuft Wall Cushion System is inspired by vintage tufted mattresses, made of 100% linen ticking stripe fabric with leather details. Each panel is sold separately, so you can add as many or as few as your space needs (shown here with a queen size bed) Available in three striped fabric options, three leather detail options and five rivet hardware colour options (but we can make this design in any of the fabrics you see on our site, just message us!) When I originally designed this waxed canvas headboard I was picturing it in Olive green, but once we sourced the fabric and saw all the colours it came in I fell in love with this Camel Brown. Our leather and hardware options can be mixed and matched, but how great is this black leather/black hardware combo with the Camel?!

I miss this view! Still not able to drive for another few weeks (I had knee surgery for those who missed it) so I’ve only been to the studio once in January. My amazing team has been going in without me and handling so much, I couldn’t do it without them!
