What do you love? What is your passion? What makes you feel alive?
Ikigai explores what you love to find your true purpose in all aspects of your life! The idea that doing what you love allows you the strength to move through the obstacles in life to reach your goals.
The origin of Invest in U’s logo is inspired by Ikigai, which is a Japanese concept that means “reason for being.” This concept is often interpreted in professional coaching practices through a venn diagram that shows the 4 basic components of this concept: Ikigai suggests that you will find your reason for being when you discover a profession or vocation that perfectly combines what you love, what you are good at, what the world needs, and what you can get paid for. Invest in U seeks to help students discover this for themselves so they can create and achieve a pathway that is purposeful and strengths-based.
Having a clear idea of your purpose allows you to weather all of the challenges and obstacles that may come your way, and makes things worth the sacrifices you may need to make along the way to reach your goals.
Please follow us to learn more about the concept of Ikigai in future posts.

Maya Angelou’s powerful poem of being resilient and hopeful strongly resonates with our team. We believe that possessing these characteristics help keep students on track toward educational success and reaching their academic goals.
The goal of our education workshops is to allow participants the ability to immediately begin incorporating these elements into their daily life.
Our educational component is designed to be an immersive and virtual experience that will provide real-life examples for each core element.
It will cover core skill-building elements with real life examples to empower participants to rise above challenges and face the day with renewed purpose & hope.

Holistic Coaching:
We believe in a comprehensive and enriching pathway for students to not only achieve their higher educational goals, but also provide them with the skills necessary to help them begin their journey towards healing all pertinent aspects of their lives. Future endeavors in holistic healing will teach our participants the value of self care by encouraging time for self and through offerings which include building mindfulness and gratitude practices, journaling, artistic and creative expression, nature healing, skill development and confidence building.
As a team, we embarked on a holistic journey of healing, self-reflection and self-care. For weeks we practiced 5 minute meditations, weekly journal prompts, along with check-ins and other healthy self-care practices. In addition, the community fostered and strengthened connections not only boosted accountability, it provided a safe space to share our individual experiences and fully participate in the holistic process.
