Golf seems so normal for me currently. Wait Rory is done being spokesman of the PGA. Did he even play a tournament in Europe this year,  how did you win the race to Dubai? There’s how many new tours? PGA and LIV are not merging? Wait is Qschool a 5-6 day or 6 month event? How do you roll back when it’s moving forward in 2029. Name all four major winners. This year in 10 seconds. Nice try.

Junior golf was so sick this season whether it’s new kidd or elite, man there’s a wave of 7 to 11 year-olds coming for ya! What happened to the Sofi video game tour? John Rahm Red shirted? What college? Ohh the PNC is this weekend! I miss the Big Horn skins game. Is Hank Khuene still around? I also miss the battle at the bridges.

Anyways back to bed, wait shells wonderful world of golf is on. Yes. Why is it that black and white golf in the 50s and 60s made professional golfers seem like mellow dramatic movie stars.

In a day of debates still as of today. Jordan, Kobe, Curry, Lebron. The greatest. In 1979 we were about to lose basketball for good. This isn’t. LIV / PGA. A writers strike (although I feel for the industry and hope the  business of great writers in motion pictures, and all parties can resolve that soon.)

 If we’re going to talk about the greatest NBA basketball player of all time, we’re gonna start talking about it in totalities and we’re going to talk about a man who was a Magician, after the biggest rivalry in H.S. to Collegiate grads into their 1980’s debut. Bird watching Larry was. McKinney made the smartest unintentional move with the bravest “Player” to play the Game.

The Game of Life.

I used to (give lessons and hang thick) with some guy, Elgin Baylor, from time to time you might’ve heard of him. I might be James, but I think he’s a little more worthy from his athletic attributes than I. The NBA had become more boring and DEAD, it’s called the lost years for a reason. That changed in one Season? How? In fact, I’m quoting myself, “never a sport ever in the history has come to a time that those stats in those players cannot compare with the Players there after. Why?  I have a father that grew up around that time and was a basketball nut.

The league had fallen into an era of massive drug abuse, poor imaging and non-televised games. Even the NBA Finals of 1978 and 1979 were on tape delay. Insanity right?  Yet in one year, Dr. Jerry Buss makes a deal with McKinney, acquires magic, gets the popcorn more ready than Chick calling it, it’s poppin (ohh just writing this friend my Jigglin, giggle in self talk but I’ll keep writing I need not stop. Jerry, Convinces Kareem, Keeps West close from a distance, and they win it all.

I was Born 1980, 40 days, 40 nights later after that Game 6 center piece Earvin Played earning 42 points, 5 positions as a rookie. I’m sure he couldn’t wait to jump on the phone and tell one day forever sweetheart. You know the name. 🍪

They go on to have the greatest decade we’ve ever watched in basketball history. Paula Abdul is getting recruited out of Van Nuys H.S. To Fly some girls in together which we had never seen before. We had a Club at the forum. You could see the 80s might’ve been the least discriminating on white or black as Magic and Bird Restored Basketball so it somewhat took people attention away from that. It’s a nice feeling when humanity looks at everyone equal, and let’s continue to do that.

Los Angeles had the first basketball channel in prime ticket ever. Then, after passing of one coach, and a dying breed of another softest of all “Riles” goes wild on a team to make way. You should’ve heard him in the locker room that day.

The Lakers (with support of Boston) brought back the NBA and Dr. Buss, Magic, Bird, and associates paved the way. Julius Dr. J Erving, on his way out would be replaced by a higher fly act of legendary status from a Different m “J” from Charlotte North Carolina. He was no Doctor. But he later operated better than anyone.
Yet, we would not know Nike for what it was if Jordan, had Kobe, teach LeBron, how spicy Curry’s 3’s would live on. So, those talks are irrelevant. If the greatest player didn’t save the NBA.

People will go on and have their fits. Who’s the best? Who’s the greatest? This Kundalani Fracheskabit from Iceland who can vertical leap 59” and is the next…. Ohh hush. We have scene it! Doesn’t matter my dear friends. I’ve been fortunate to see it all season tickets from 83 to 92, and that’s nothing compared to a few reading this aged old enough to watch the game in 72’.

On this 43rd birthday, freshly shaven after 44 days, I want to share with you my word for this year - NICE. No matter how cool, hard, talented, stranded, nerd or goofy you are, be nice. You are you! BE YOU. This year, I hope to continue to be a nice presence in your lives, to appreciate~ your nice gestures, and to encourage you to spread niceness in your own circles. And within yourself. You matter. The greatest teachers are always in the learning state of teaching, their self about how they relate to cultivate. So I’m just another student of humanities, combined with athletics, golf, some street, music, psych, numerology, linguistics, a lotta book, even. More experience and Whole LOT OF LOVE. “pretty witty, taking a page out of Jimmy right there.” Just an Average Joe.” Spade, David? ACE OF HEARTS.

Remember, life changes in beautiful harmony when you bless others. Do something nice for someone today, not because it feels good, but because it is the right thing to do. But never forget to set boundaries and take care of yourself.

Anthro is so important when you have (players who are new to go off and within a year of tremendous, growing spurts. Anthropology is the study of human body measurements and for us our golfers proportions. New coaches or players (this will take a lot of the guessing work out of why your player might be more difficult to fix than others.) It’s important to consider the anthropometric measurements of junior golfers in order to properly fit them with clubs that are appropriate for their size and physical capabilities.

If a junior golfer is using clubs that are too long or have improper lie angles, they will have to adjust their swing to compensate for these deficiencies. This can lead to one problem bundling into 4-5, which can ultimately result in poor performance and even (rare) but pain or injury.

Properly fitted clubs can help junior golfers develop their swing consistently, prevent Injury and l reach their full potential on the range & course. This is why it's so important to consider the individual needs of each junior golfer when selecting clubs.
This is why when I launch my new website and those doing my camp or any new students or current students that become a little more serious with their golf, like Jackson here… You will be set up to see my fitter. 20 years ago, I spent months in understanding how to fit myself and doing all my specs specifically so my clubs would match my swing (not build a swing to match my clubs.) Do not be mislead (people love pointers) by someone telling you it’s not the clubs fault in scenarios like this. For me becoming much more versed in Wedge Play, I can tell if my wedges are off from D9 to D8. “Check it again Jason! “😂”

Day 1: Golf Orientation:
Meet & Greet. Go over your questionnaire. All golf topics talked, worked on and addressed.

Day 1 is an orientation and analysis day, during which all aspects of the students’ game will be evaluated to determine what needs the “MOST improvement. Each day moving forward, will be tailored to address those specific areas of your game, that need the most focus. This is crucial for us, as golf school pre-planning before knowing my player, is the least way to discover YOUR way for total success. The “Meet & Greet” within day 1, allows us to asses, address and undress the next 4 days giving you an experience of Target Success.

81 6th-8th graders and see the little one in the middle. 6th grade, shot the low. Little? BIG Game.

So… 4 years, and Jack, Dad and I have become an amazing team.

From Dad: JJ! Jack's school had league finals today for golf, to decide team champions and the individual champion. There were 81 kids 6-8 grade. Twelve schools total. Jack's school won the whole thing and Jack got 1st place. They say it's the first time a 6th grader has won. He’s super pumped.

He is a sponge and does everything I show, explain clearly, or demonstrate for him to fill up HIS toolbox. Kid will own his swing, and when colleges are ready he will be groomed with every shot. His passion, love and obsession for the game would not surprise me one day he becomes a household name. I mean he already has the name. Jack Bunker,
(JBunks) is the nickname I coined him. I will definitely be doing an entire Wedge special in a year with him (for the masses) where we fit his wedges, stank them “JBunks” and we go out on the course, giving you a crash course on every type of bunker shot. Already calling it “DunksFromBunks.” Proud of you champ.

She’s worked so hard, especially the last year with me adding the right pieces for HER swing (incorporating golf shots and teaching her how to train not just what to fix, but how to fix it) including her all around game (wedges - wedges - wedges) with me and this year we’ve done more course management talks, and put the focus on her mindset, preparation and self belief. SHE earned it. 8 years building the motor, but she still steers and directs the Porsche. Get it girl.

Matt Shane just started six years ago, in town from Detroit Michigan for a half day today. Plays to a 14 (that’s gonna change.) Framework, Grip, Pivot, Face2Path and AOA clean up Aisle 3 handicap after he puts a year of work in from today’s complete coaching clinic. The m slice is out the picture. He learned how to flight it down.
Control his scoring irons. Alignment was a big factor with Putting and especially his gamer / driver. He never hit draws with the driver until today. Just a full array of tools added to his game which made his day.! Coach JJ 😉 👊⛳️🏆. Great work Matt 🔥. You now have a PLAN. ☺️

It is important to be careful when exposing a young, good-looking kids swing, athleticism, and overhyping them too early as it can lead to unrealistic expectations and pressures that the golfer may not be able to handle. The golfer may become overwhelmed or discouraged if they struggle to meet the expectations that have been set for them. Additionally, the high level of attention and scrutiny they will be subjected to could put undue pressure on their mental and emotional wellbeing. It is important that any exposure of a young golfer be done with caution and care, so as not to put an unnecessary burden on the player. That being said (recently, looking at a Toyota cup event, recognizing half the field either works worked, or is back working with me… Years ago, (yet grateful that I’m fully experienced today) Let them pave the way for their ability, realistically. Authentically.

So from my 15 years experience, highs, lows, mediums toward their complete LIFE success is.. The best way we can coach and expose a young junior, and or talented golfer is to focus on developing their skills in a positive, supportive, environment. This means providing them with personalized instruction and guidance to help them improve their game while also highlighting their strengths and accomplishments. It is important to focus on the process of improvement rather than the outcome and emphasize the importance of practice, repetition, and effort. on occasion, we can highlight the journey using our social media platform, but no need to overdo it or even under do it with degrading (I know some may think posting poor rounds is useful, but why add any negative continuity that Shames a beautiful young child.)

We must provide positive reinforcement through constructive feedback that allows them to recognize their progress and celebrate their successes. Finally, it is important to give the young golfer space and freedom to explore the game in a way that works for them, rather than overhyping or forcing them into a particular style or approach.
