On July 30, staff and volunteers made their way to Calexico on Tuesday to host a free clinic. Over 30 patients with cerebral palsy were seen by Dr. Thompson, and received giveaways and participated in arts and craft led by Los Amigos, Los Angeles Pediatric Society, and Ortho High School students.
From July 17-19, more than 100 individuals gathered from all over Southern California at our summer camp for kids with cerebral palsy. The specialty camp was designed and operated by the LuskinOIC Department of Rehabilitation, led by Director Chris Caron, Brianna Garcia, and Sera Cho. The camp featured three days of inclusive activities, including community building, adapted sports, arts and crafts, and daily sessions in our water park within our accessible playground provided by the Every Child Foundation.

LuskinOIC volunteers had a blast at two fantastic events this July! On the 20th, we joined the DreamCenter Back to School Bash. With around 5,000 attendees, our booth was buzzing with games and giveaways, helping kids get ready for school.
Then, on the 27th, we brought the fun to Dodgers’ Playerfest, where we handed out first aid kits and hosted more interactive games for another 5,000 attendees. These events highlight our commitment to supporting the community and ensuring kids are prepared and excited for the new school year!

LuskinOIC is honored to be a part of these aspiring student’s careers as they learn and grow at our clinic; from Urgent Care to our International Children’s Program, LuskinOIC helps cultivate the next generation of medical professionals. Shoutout to Ortho High and LA Pediatric Society!
On July 13, LuskinOIC was proud to host more than 300 attendees in partnership with Angel City Sports, AT&T, and Human-IT as the organizations collaborated to bridge the digital divide for children in need. As a result of the collaboration, 150 laptops were distributed to LuskinOIC patients and volunteers, Ortho-High students, and youth athletes with disabilities from Angel City Sports.
