As we expand and prepare ahead of the 2028 Games, our efforts continue to leave a legacy that benefits public transit and keeps our city moving forward.

The city and are removing barriers to communities who have been left behind and lack access to public transportation.

With the second pilot phase of the Metro Mobility Wallet Pilot Program now open, qualifying Angelenos in South LA will have access to prepaid cards to spend on public transportation needs.

Congregations are coming together in Los Angeles to organize drives that include blankets, socks, and toiletries for unhoused Angelenos and participants of Inside Safe.

This is a moral crisis. Faith leaders are rolling up their sleeves and locking arms with the city to help us confront homelessness, together.

Thank you to the Baptist Ministers Conference, including Mt. Salem New Wave Church and Greater New Unity Baptist Church for leading with care for the most vulnerable.

Congresswoman Jackson Lee was a prolific legislator. Now, after leading a life of tremendous accomplishment to the benefit of so many, she rests.

My thoughts are with the Jackson Lee family, her dedicated staff, and the greater Houston area as they mourn this great loss.
