We celebrate the contributions and culture of the Muslim American Community in Los Angeles and across the country.

While Team USA makes history in Paris this week, here in Los Angeles we also mark a historic day.

92 years ago, L.A. kicked off the 1932 Olympic Games, which were a turning point for the Olympic movement.

In 2028, we will continue to raise the bar as we host the world in our city.

Metro bus operators keep LA on the move!

As we expand and prepare ahead of the 2028 Games, our efforts continue to leave a legacy that benefits public transit and keeps our city moving forward.

The city and are removing barriers to communities who have been left behind and lack access to public transportation.

With the second pilot phase of the Metro Mobility Wallet Pilot Program now open, qualifying Angelenos in South LA will have access to prepaid cards to spend on public transportation needs.

It's a wrap for our first day in Paris with First Lady Dr. Jill Biden and the presidential delegation.

This opportunity to build on our preparations for 2028 honors the spirit of Paris and Los Angeles as two iconic host cities.

This is Team USA home away from the Olympic Village for the Paris 2024 Games.

The High Performance Center is a revamp of the Athletica Centre — renovations like this show us what we can do to reimagine the spaces we have in Los Angeles as we prepare to welcome the world in 2028.

Our efforts to house more Angelenos is ongoing even though the world has its eyes on the Olympic Games.

Thank you to our City partners for helping us bring more Angelenos inside safe in Boyle Heights and away from the streets.

Congregations are coming together in Los Angeles to organize drives that include blankets, socks, and toiletries for unhoused Angelenos and participants of Inside Safe.

This is a moral crisis. Faith leaders are rolling up their sleeves and locking arms with the city to help us confront homelessness, together.

Thank you to the Baptist Ministers Conference, including Mt. Salem New Wave Church and Greater New Unity Baptist Church for leading with care for the most vulnerable.

More than 35 Angelenos that were living on the streets in Westlake moved indoors with supportive services.

Homelessness is down in Los Angeles – Inside Safe is part of our long term solution to bring people indoors immediately.

In April, we announced LA4LA, an unprecedented partnership between the private and public sector to work together to bring more unhoused Angelenos inside.

Now, just months later, we’re already seeing the results. Lives are being saved. Our momentum continues.
