Meet Kevin! This playful 20-week-old Labrador Retriever/Doberman Pinscher mix has a heart as big as his paws! Rescued from a high-kill shelter by , Kevin is now looking for his forever home in LA. He arrived at the Vanderpump Dogs Center with his best friend, Wren, hoping to meet his perfect person. Kevin loves running around, playing, and getting into adorable antics! We are overjoyed to share that Wilfred, our 15-year-old senior pup we rescued from a high kill shelter, has finally found his forever home in Cincinnati, Ohio! He’s joining Pixie, one of our Vanderpup alumni, who was adopted back in January. We are wishing Wilfred and his new family all the love and happiness! Congratulations 💖

One of the most frequent questions we get asked is if we adopt out of state? We do allow for out of state adoptions on a case-by-case basis. If you would like to adopt from out of state, you will be responsible for coordinating safe travel for the dog, as we do not ship dogs. Please note that not every dog is a candidate for out-of-state adoption (for example, it is not always safe for seniors or dogs with health conditions to fly or travel long distances). If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs from out of state, please note that on your application, which can be found on our website, along with your plan to transport, and we will let you know if the dog you are interested in is eligible. We have exciting news about Diamond‼️ Diamond is FINALLY free from cage rest and is ready to be spayed and find her forever home. It has been a LONG road for Diamond if you remember, she was one of three dogs we rescued in August from a high-kill shelter. We took her to right away to get her pelvic fractures assessed and they suspected it had been 3-4 weeks since her injury 💔 New x-rays were taken Monday and has finally cleared her to be available for adoption. We’re so thankful. Thank you, , for taking such good care of Diamond!

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of sweet Molly, the 10-year-old Maltese we rescued from a high-kill shelter a few days ago. She had already undergone pyrometra surgery at the city shelter where she developed pneumonia, and we knew it would be touch and go but we couldn’t leave her behind. When we met her, she was in critical condition so we rushed heMetropolitan Animal Specialty Hospitalshvet where Molly spent four days, with the team at MASH providing extensive 24 hour care to combat her illness. Her respiratory PCR panel results confirmed she had mycoplasma, the likely cause of her infectious pneumonia.

Molly was treated intensely with antibiotics, along with IV fluids, nebulization, and round-the-clock care. Despite these efforts, including extensive testing, X-rays, medications and love, her condition continued to decline, and her organs ultimately failed today. Though her time with us was short, she was surrounded by love and care until the very end.

It is the harsh reality of rescue that we can’t save them all and sometimes, despite our best efforts, these little guys we fight so hard for don’t make it. It’s devastating for our team to take in dogs that we know only have a small chance at survival, but we are committed to giving every dog we can the chance they deserve, and love and care during the process. Rest in peace, sweet Molly. You’ll forever be in our hearts. 💔

Can you open your heart and home to foster Linus? This sweet boy was rescued from a high-kill shelter just before Thanksgiving in 2023. Linus was adopted in January, but heartbreakingly, he was returned to us last week. He’s been struggling since coming back, even experiencing a seizure from the stress. 💔 We’re devastated for him and want to give him the chance to decompress in a loving foster home. While he will always have a home with us at Vanderpump Dogs, we know his forever family is out there.

URGENT & GRAPHIC WARNING‼️ We’ve just rescued two dogs in the medical room at a high-kill shelter, and they need your help. The first dog, Travis, may have been shot (possibly with a BB gun) and needs immediate medical care. The second dog, Molly, is about 10 years old and hasn’t been eating since recovering from pyometra surgery. Both are currently being treated at , Molly is currently being treated for pneumonia and receiving fluids. We will update you on their progress as soon as we know more.

In the meantime, we are raising funds for their recovery and urgently seeking a medical foster for Molly. At this time, she needs a home without other dogs. Can you help?
