Congratulations to Fiona on completing her PADI Open Water Scuba Diver certification on April 20, 2024. Her Birthday. Celebrated with Chocolate Cake with chocolate chips and chocolate icing. Does it have to be a birthday? Can’t we celebrate all certifications that way?

Congrats to Alina. Los Angeles and State of California have weather alerts. High surf and Hurricane Hilary warnings, Catalina Island evacuated. Everyone suggested to stay home. Master Instructor David Silverman and Alina do a night dive off the beach in Redondo and move on to do some of her Rescue Skills. Claims of flat water, no surf. Sightings of shrimp, horn sharks, halibut and octopus. Then home before Hilary wakes up.

These pictures are all from one dive at Redondo Beach. Stop and look around. If you don’t see anything it might not be because there is nothing there to see?

Redondo Beach - nothing to see? 08/15/2023

So today again I heard another diver complain about how Redondo Beach - Veterans Park is Blah in terms of a dive site. All these pictures are from one dive at the Blah dive site. So I respectfully disagree. It might not be the dive site with an issue ?🙄😬

Congratulations to Jacob on finishing his Advanced class off the beach. In the last two months he has completed his Open Water and Advanced class and has had the boat canceled twice the day before the dive because of weather . Next week he is scheduled to complete his Boat Diver Specialty on the same boat! What could go wrong? 🤞

Dive 1 done, Dive 2 same beach different spot. Beautiful day at the beach. A bit chilly but you can’t always have everything, every time, every where?

Dive boat canceled Again today because of weather. So off to the beach instead. Instructor Hayley finishing up Jacob’s Advanced class at Refugio State Beach. Low tide, slight breeze, flat water, easy entry, blue water. But you can see the beach has had a rough time with the recent weather. Camp grounds flooded palm trees on the edge.

There is no stopping her now😳
Congratulations to Hayley

Instructor Hayley Friedman taking Andrew, Jacob, and Benjamin in on their final Open Water dive for their PADI Open Water Scuba Diver certification dive. We were scheduled on a dive boat that canceled because the storms. We reserved spots last second for Catalina Express which canceled trips Friday and Saturday. It is cold but we had the boat and dive park all to ourselves. Flat water and good viz. Success

Open Water Diver 01/02/2023

Happy New Year to all! In the last couple of months 2 other dive shops closest to us have closed. This is a disheartening trend for the dive community. That said on January 1 we signed up our first student of the year to become a new Open Water Diver? Come join the next class starts Jan 28. Support your local dive shop before there not anymore.
