A little pepperoni pizza for dinner. Never let anyone tell you you can’t make a decent pie with a store bought dough. The skillet-broiler method (google it) can make even the Trader Joe’s fresh dough sing. Most important step is to form it into a ball(or 2 balls), then let it rest covered at room temperature for at least 2 hrs. That’ll make it easy to stretch out.
Got to cosplay as childless adults for the weekend. Observe the smiles, the energy, the awakeness, the lack of sweatpants…it was nice.

❄️🤗 My sincerest thanks to all of you “Pizzelle People” out there for letting me bring you my festive little treats all year long! It’s been an amazing two years, and I can’t wait to dive into to the new year with new flavors and who knows what else. In honor of the holidays, I wanted to write you a poem, but that’s not really my jam, so I asked an A.I. bot to “write a Christmas poem about pizzelles,” and we’ll, here it is. Merry Christmas!!🎄🤖😱
❄️ We're bringing the fat stacks this holiday with my Merry & Bright Box over at .
The box features one dozen of our classic Anise Pizzelle and one dozen of our new Toasted Almond Pizzelle, plus a hefty sack of Jordan Almonds (vegan ones, of course!). Boxes will arrive in plenty of time for the holidays and they’ll include a gift note from the sender…unless you’re sending them to yourself, which is another completely acceptable situation.
Obligatory shot of the plate. Stuffing, cranberries, brussels with maple, hazelnuts, orange zest and pomegranate molasses, classic mashed potatoes, gravy and style pressed maitake mushroom “fried chicken”.
The ricotta cookie is indeed a formidable opponent, but I gotta think pizzelles are gonna take this thing.

Man, it’s been a while since I’ve posted just a regular, old fashioned food pic…one that’s not related, anyway. I kind of just fell out of the habit for whatever reason. While I did NOT miss pausing my dinner routine to feed the camera first, I did miss having the image for my own memory….and, if we’re being honest…the comments 😏. It’s also the interaction with all of you that I’ve missed. So here I am, interacting. burger cheddar, special sauce, grilled onion, lettuce, tomato. Oh and that’s a homemade bun.
