Dear City Cubs,

The LACC Administration team is excited to announce that the Student Union’s student cafeteria lounge is currently under construction for renovation. The Cafeteria Buildout project will commence next week on Monday 7/29/24. The updated student lounge will introduce the brand-new Cubby’s Den. This area will provide a welcoming space for students to gather, study and unwind like a cub in a cozy den! 🐻

The Student Union’s cafeteria, Cubby’s Den, is expected to open in September 2025.

Despite the construction on the first floor, students, administrators, faculty, and staff may continue visiting the following programs at the Student Union:

1st Floor: Bookstore and Cub Store.
2nd Floor: City Cares, Cubby's Closet, and ASG.
3rd Floor: LACC Foundation.

The new temporary dining space will be in the student lounge area in the Economic & Workforce Development (EWD) Building, 120 (Previously Peet’s Coffee). Located behind the DaVinci Hall (DH) and across from the Herb Alpert Music Center (HAMC).

Their hours are Monday through Thursday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and Friday, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation during this time as we construct a new student cafeteria and dining facility for the LACC campus. We look forward to unveiling the newly renovated Cubby’s Den in 2025! 📚☕️🍎🏫🎒
