Fifteen Degree Furniture

Spalted Maple Coffee Table. Spalted wood is timber that has undergone a certain degree of decay to develop black wavy streaks that are eye-catching and add a level of detail to the piece.

Timber Block Side Table. This piece is made from 100% recycled material. Used strips of wood to build the interior framework then ripped down a 4x4 post to make the siding. Fun and easy project to tackle. Should I create a video showing how it’s made? Let me know in the comments. Thanks

Round Teak End Table. Having scrap wood around the shop from past projects allows me to prototype ideas without spending extra money on material and reduces wood waste. This leftover teak came from an outdoor furniture set I built for Warner Bros a few years ago.

✨Meet the Maker✨

15 things about 15 Degree you may or may not know.

- My name is Le Sanne. I am the man behind 15 Degree Furniture
- I chose the name 15 Degree because all of my original pieces had a 15 Degree angle somewhere in it.
- My shop is located somewhere in San Fernando Valley
- I graduated from the Art Institute with a degree in set design. During that time, I developed an interest in woodworking.
- I am a husband and a father to a toddler and a pup.

This is still holding it down as my all time favorite commissioned piece. asked me to create an art piece that was composed of their numerous products such as toys, home goods, fashion items, etc. and spray paint them white. The process was tedious, but well worth the results. It’s currently being displayed in their Consumer Products office.

The body of the cabinet is complete 👍🏾 Moving on to drawers and doors

More shots of the Montessori bed. It’s been in use for a few weeks now and our family loves it! The bed frame allows for the baby’s independence and helps with the transition to her own space.

Got the bed pre-assembled so now it’s time to sand, round the edges, and apply the clear finish.

Remembering my early pieces back when I was experimenting with blending materials. This shelving unit is made of walnut, with leather lining the shelves and aluminum supports. Probably my favorite til this day.
