dearest hearts~

we have an inspirational NEW MOON in Sagittarius rising today 12/12 as well as MERCURY stationing retrograde in Capricorn…

this Sagittarius NEW MOON is one of the most hopeful moons of the year as it carries with it all of the beautiful Sagittarius qualities of expansiveness, taking a chance on something new, and moving toward what lights our hearts on fire...

Being that MERCURY is going Retrograde on the same day brings in the theme of RETURNING. Returning to ourselves, our joy, and the things and activities that bring us a sense of spiritual expansion.

as is commonplace during Mercury Retrograde periods, things may also be RETURNING to us, friends, loves, visions, dreams, ideas, memories, karmic gifts...

November’s full moon is known as the Beaver Moon, according to the Old Farmer’s Almanac, because “this is the time of year when beavers begin to take shelter in their lodges, having laid up sufficient stores of food for the long winter ahead. During the time of the fur trade in North America, it was also the season to trap beavers for their thick, winter-ready pelts.”

Other names for this month’s full moon include the Digging Moon or Scratching Moon, which are Tlingit names; Deer Rutting Moon (Dakota and Lakota peoples); Whitefish Moon (Algonquin); Frost Moon (Assiniboine and Cree); and Freezing Moon (Anishinaabe).

For my Northern Hemisphere friends:

Today (Tuesday 31 October) is Samhain, the day when the veil that separates us from the Spirit World is said to be at its thinnest. This is Autumn’s end and the beginning of Winter. Increasing cold and dark are forcing us to adjust to the end of the old year. Once we accept this and let go of our attachment to it, a new set of possibilities is revealed. There is a new power to life as we nurture new dreams and new seeds in the dark. By accepting this period of rest, we find rejuvenation and renewal. We hope that you have a wonderful Samhain and wish you a Happy Celtic New Year.

ARIES NEW MOON / TOTAL SOLAR ECLIPSE:
A POTENT INITIATION

An Aries New Moon Solar Eclipse arrives on Wednesday, drawing us deeper into the karmic compression of eclipse season. The next two weeks will be powerful and revealing, helping us shed stagnation while encouraging great strides toward our evolution. This eclipse falls at the anoretic degree of Aries, bookending a lunar cycle since two Aries New Moons formed over the past month. This eclipse represents a powerful initiation. It’s igniting a feeling of now or never.

We may feel a sense of urgency to take our next steps. A lot of energy is activated now, so it’s important for us to ground. We are stepping into the future at a fast pace—within ourselves, our relationships, and society at large. This is an extremely important new beginning, and we can prepare accordingly, making our needs and wants abundantly clear.

Moving forward, who do we want to be? What do we want to pursue? How do we want to relate?

With this anaretic Aries eclipse squaring Pluto, this is not a moment for niceties and superficiality, or for glossing over deeper issues. The planets are challenging us to look deeply at the truth and feel embodied in our full power—which includes acknowledging our shadows. Powerful lessons are ready to reveal themselves to us if we can muster our warriorship and see our full spectrum of self—our pain, beauty, mistakes, gifts, hard work, and profundity—while feeling immense love and gratitude. We are ready to graduate into the next iteration of being.

We can pay special attention to whatever unfolds over the next two weeks—themes, karmic run-ins with friends or lovers from the past, significant new people showing up, desires rising to the surface, thoughts, lessons, initiations, and instincts. We are discovering who we are—stepping into new, more evolved identities that are beginning to emerge as the Aquarian age takes root.…. 🌝✨Article up on my site. Link in bio

The New Moon rising in Aries today at 10:23am PT marks the beginning of a new cycle. Whatever you start now will begin to take root over the next six months. By the Full Moon in Aries on September 29, your intentions will be clear and have a life of their own. Now is the time to plant the seeds.

Equinoxes are the cosmic representation of balanced Yin and Yang energies. The point in the Earths cycle where we experience an almost equal length of day and night. The natural world deep in her descending journey in the Southern Hemisphere and emerging with new awakened energy & purpose in the Northern Hemisphere.

In the Southern Hemisphere, we welcome the second harvest festival of Mabon. As we embrace the subtle seasonal change to shorter days and cooler, darker evenings. The energy of nature around us prepares to descend deeper into the slower paced winter months ahead.

This time in the cycle represents surrender, reflection, gratitude and celebration of the harvest from our physical and metaphorical seeds planted around the Spring Equinox.

Looking within and without, we create space, clearing out, preserving what's needed and composting the rest. This supports the required balance and fertile base to sustain us throughout the winter months physically, emotionally and mentally.

For our friends in the Northern Hemisphere the wheel of the year turns to Ostara, Spring Equinox. An exciting time of awakening and emerging, expansive energies. Birth, new life, increasing warmth and the desire to clear out dormant energies. Looking within and without, we create and nurture space for possibility, seeds and intentions to manifest, grow and flourish.

The coming few days are a wonderful time and opportunity for us to sit in reflection…

🌙What do you notice in the natural world around you?
🌙What is arising?
🌙What requires composting?
🌙What wants to grow and thrive within me?

Sending love and Equinox blessings to you all.

FULL MOON rising in Virgo brings forth a healing perspective by illuminating what is at stake.

As Dr. Joe Dispenza has shared, "no organism in nature can live in emergency mode for extended periods of time and it is a scientific fact the hormones of stress down regulate genes and creates disease."

The truth is most of us, whether because of economic or social pressures or a multitude of other circumstances, adults and even our children, are faced with conditions that can feel dire and are extremely anxiety and stress inducing. And what Dr. Joe explains is that when we are in a state of survival, our thoughts start to fire and forecast worst case scenarios which increase our stress response, which in turn causes our brain waves to become dysregulated. In this state, we are not able to create and thrive.

So how do we

In school, we all learned how to read and write, but we never learned how to use our minds to help us with the most important survival skills of all: staying happy and healthy!

To engage the powerful forces of the mind on the body, you must DO something. Learn how to ACTIVELY relax. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Whether you practice deep breathing or take a simple leisurely walk, find an active relaxation that works for you and do it. Here are a few more ideas on how to push your pause button:⁣⁣
⁣⁣
1) Make choices that make your life balanced — practice saying “NO” to others and “YES” to yourself.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
2) Try yoga or meditation.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
3) Get enough sleep.⁣⁣

4) Eat whole foods that decrease the stress response.⁣

This Full Moon is one of the more intense Moons as Leo brings a fiery energy to our hearts and energy. Leo reminds us to be ourselves and show that person to the world with courage and confidence. This Moon is a time to feel who you are and anything that blocks you from being that person. It’s a time to own your power and not be afraid to use it.

As the Moon opposes the Sun in Aquarius, it also squares Uranus, the planet of change, in Ta**us. This Moon has the potential to shake loose anything that doesn’t resonate with your soul and make space for what does. This square aspect can make you feel unstable or even insecure in parts of your life. There is a much change available right now. Feel into the things that bring you back to center and lean on them as you shift patterns or energies that do not resonate with your heart.

We also have all planets moving forward during this Full Moon, making life feel full of motion and life-changing decisions. Ground your energy and let yourself ride these cosmic waves to step away from anything that doesn’t hit a high note with your intuition. Remember, you already have all the answers. All you need to do is breathe deep and remember who you are.

We have been waiting for the tides to turn, and with Mars and Mercury now direct and Uranus about to go direct shortly after this NEW MOON, there is forward momentum enlivening the Earth.

Like the sighting of a rainbow after the rains, the gifts from the storm become clear before our eyes, and the fertile landscape reminds us that dry banks can become flowing streams again.

We have before us the wisdom we’ve gained from experience, and if we were able to learn from our past choices, then we can allow our new understanding to refine us in moving forward.

What magic can we pull out of our hats?

And what mystery might we unravel with the intimacy of the Goddess, the Hare and the Moon?

What may come with all of that fecundity and creativity unleashed and harnessed?

Perhaps the reBirth of our ancient souls, like birds rising across the waters, flowing with the magnetic fields and letting love lift us as we make waves in our collective skies.

May it be so.

Happy Lunar New Year!

My kind of medicine. 🌱

“Before planting, put into your mouth one or more little seeds, hold them in your mouth, under the tongue, for at least nine minutes.”

“Every seed you plant contains within itself an enormous amount of information about the Universe. Nothing made by human hands can compare with this information either in size or accuracy. Through the help of these data the seed knows the exact time, down to the millisecond, when it is to come alive, grow — what juices it is to take from the Earth, how to make use of the rays of the celestial bodies — the Sun, Moon and stars, what it is to grow into, what fruit to bring forth.

“These fruits are designed to sustain Man's life. More powerfully and effectively than any manufactured drugs of the present or future, these fruits are capable of counteracting and withstanding any disease of the human body.

“But to this end the seed must know about the human condition. So that during the maturation process it can satiate its fruit with the right correlation of substances to heal a specific individual of his disease, if indeed he has it or is prone to it.

🌱

When planting the seedlings, it is important to soften the dirt in the excavated hole with one’s fingers and bare toes, and spit into the hole. Responding to my question,

“Why the feet?”

Anastasia explained that through perspiration from one’s feet come substances containing information about bodily diseases. This information is taken in by the seedlings. They transmit it to the fruit, which will thus be enabled to counteract diseases. Anastasia recommended walking around the plot barefoot from time to time.

“You start dying slowly
if you do not travel,
if you do not read,
If you do not listen to the sounds of life,
If you do not appreciate yourself.

You start dying slowly
When you kill your self-esteem;
When you do not let others help you.

You start dying slowly
If you become a slave of your habits,
Walking everyday on the same paths…
If you do not change your routine,
If you do not wear different colours
Or you do not speak to those you don’t know.

You start dying slowly
If you avoid to feel passion
And their turbulent emotions;
Those which make your eyes glisten
And your heart beat fast.

You start dying slowly
If you do not change your life when you are not satisfied with your job, or with your love,
If you do not risk what is safe for the uncertain,
If you do not go after a dream,
If you do not allow yourself,
At least once in your lifetime,
To run away from sensible advice.”

On 12/21/2022 at 3:48 pm CST the Sun enters the cardinal earth sign Capricorn taking us into the shortest day/longest night known as the winter solstice and inversely the summer solstice south of the equator. Cardinal signs launch the seasons and with it comes an energy of change, initiation and a new beginning. There is a reassuring quality to the four cross quarter honoring of light, darkness and the stillness in between.

Yet each year brings it’s own unique energy and initiatory signature. This winter solstice is uplifted by the buoyant Jupiter returning to cardinal fire Aries after a retrograde period in later degrees of Pisces.

The moon is her dark balsamic phase brewing up an elixir to heal the heaviness and weariness of a hard year to serve it up with a beautiful last new moon of 2022 on 12/23/2022 as Chiron stations direct.

It is always beneficial to light a fire, candle or sacred flame on the evening of the winter solstice with the questions:

✨What will I release into the dark of the night?

✨How might I merge with the deep mystery within and throughout?

✨What would I like to invite with the coming of morning light?

🌬️How might I bring the power of my spirit into a prayer for the world?

Wishing us a peaceful moment to be held in the grace of the sacred darkness 🔥🖤🌒

Happy Winter Solstice!
