La Doula Vita, Los Angeles, CA Videos

Videos by La Doula Vita in Los Angeles. As a former ballerina, my approach is rooted in biomechanics, and my sessions are designed to restore the body’s natural alignment, enhance the mind-body connection, and foster a sense of empowerment through movement.

Ever wonder what your Pilates instructor gets up to between sessions? I'll give you a sneak peek: it involves a whole lot of movement and pure joy!

Pilates isn't just my job, it's a practice I deeply cherish. Just like you, I crave that feeling of strength and focus a good session brings.

Nurturing my own routine helps me stay centered and strong, which translates to being even more present and supportive for YOU during our sessions.

Refilling my cup – something I practice and preach! – By strengthening myself through practice, I can better support YOU as you reach for your goals. It's a continuous flow of giving and receiving that keeps us both moving forward.

Here's a quick peek into my personal practice between sessions – keeping the energy flowing and that Pilates goodness alive! These short bursts of movement fuel my passion for teaching and keep me excited to share the Pilates love with all of you!

One of the things I adore most about our classes is how they bring us together as a community. We don't just come to sweat and move – we come to connect, to share stories, and to support one another through every twist and turn of this journey called motherhood. Because here, no Mama walks alone. 💗 Come be a part of something special. Come sweat, laugh, and grow with us. Because together, we're stronger. Together, we're unstoppable. 💪✨

Amazing. Just amazing. #Repost @doctortribe with @make_repost ・・・ The start of a new life😍 EMBRYOGENESIS Here’s a simulation of what early fetal development looks like from the inside! If you look closely, this illustration shows the development of the neural tube, which goes on to differentiate into the brain & spinal cord! The neural tube gives rise to the various segments of our central nervous system! On the gross anatomical level, it’s lumen bulge & constrict to form the chambers of the brain & spinal cord (which we can visual here!!!). The most anterior portion of the tube is undergoing drastic changes. In this region, the neural tube balloons into three primary vesicles: forebrain (prosencephalon), midbrain (mesencephalon), & hindbrain (rhombencephalon) - this info might give our first year medstudents PTSD!!! Simultaneously while this process occurs, you’ll also notice the fetus develop upper & lower limb buds. Whats incredibly MEDspiring here is that: 4 weeks into development, the fetal heart has already beating & by week 6 - fetal cardiac activity will be visible on transvaginal ultrasound. By the time a mother is 8 weeks pregnant, the fetus has already developed every organ system in the body (organogenesis)!!! It’s incredible that this process occurs on it’s own after conception. The early development of most vertebrate brains is similar, but it is thought that the human brain may be the most organized piece of matter in the solar system & is arguably the most interesting organ in the animal kingdom! If you got this far in reading, take a second to THANK your beautiful brain for granting you the ability to process this knowledge. Patience is not passive, on the contrary, it is concentrated strength. -Bruce Lee There are some times our babies need a helping hand to enter this world. But more often than not, we can be patient and let our babies enter this world on their own accord and in their own time. *note a birth like this doesn’t have to happen in the water. We can allow our babies a birth process of their own timing in any setting or position. #Repost @orgasmicbirth with @make_repost ・・・ @withregram • @waterbirthint Midwife @florhortel respects mother and baby encouraging them to "let the baby out" #orgasmicbirth

To all the beautiful and strong mamas who have Birth with their support on FaceTime, who couldn’t have their family and friends close by to support them, and to all the hardships that came from the 2020 lockdown and pandemic, you did it. It wasn’t fun or easy or anything that you could’ve ever imagined, but you did it. And you are a fierce strong warrior mama. You did it. I’d say this is one of if not the most powerful birth videos I’ve even seen. #Repost @cradledcreations Check out the page for the widescreen version. For some reason my repost app won’t repost widescreen version ・・・ Congratulations to these families who overcame so much this year

If you can’t have fun... what is it all for!? And yes I am an obsessed “menace” about women’s health and reproduction and birth and bodies and babies... just ask my friends. 😘

Anyone who has spent any time with me knows how true this one is! ...Get a few glasses of wine in me... well, get out your notebook, you’re going to be in for a lecture on all things birth and birth related and body rights and horizons and.... and... and... Well, it’s important to know these things!!! Love to you all! Xo

Birth outside of the US What is it like? What are the birth practices? How does birth look? Are there as many inductions, interventions, as many Cesareans? How is maternal satisfaction, postpartum depression rates? These are important things to ask. Our birth system has a lot it can (and should) learn. This is a beautiful birth video by @bukaan.moment who has a full Instagram page of birth videos. Part 2 of 5: How can you encourage baby to turn head down if you are wanting to birth vaginally but your provider can only catch head down babies? Here are a few things you can try at home. Have fun with them, make them fun, and try to keep in mind that sometimes a baby will turn and sometimes they choose to be head up for a reason. Some movement things to try coming soon Xo

Take a break from scrolling and move your body! This sequence that I filmed for @momsatom.la is 12 minutes of fun for every body. I hope you enjoy!!!
