This is Ali's first summer at JCamp and she could not be more excited to be on the Camper Care team! She has spent the past three years working in a Jewish Day School, and is passionate about kids' social and emotional development. She is currently working toward her Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy and School Counseling. She most enjoys spending time talking to people, drinking coffee, and doing crafty things!
Abby is a incoming senior in high school, and she is so excited to be at her first summer as a camp counselor at JCamp! She enjoys singing, dancing and hanging out with friends. Abby can’t wait to have an amazing summer at JCamp!

Naomi is a rising senior in high school. In her free time, she likes to figure skate, listen to music, and crochet. This is her first year at JCamp, and she is so excited to be here!
Say hello to Josh! This is his second year at JCamp, but the rest of the year, he is a Teaching Assistant with a BA in Psychology from California State University Channel Islands. He started working at Jewish summer camps as a CIT when he was 12. His favorite part of camp is always bantering with campers and creating an inclusive environment for everyone. In his free time, he likes to spend some nice quiet time with a book and some calming music.

This is Ella and she will be attending CSUN in the fall, majoring in liberal studies. She has hopes of becoming a kindergarten or first grade teacher. In her free time, she enjoys dancing, going thrifting with friends, and taking photos on her camera. This will be her third summer working at JCAMP. She loves the JCamp values of creativity and respect. She can’t wait to be at Camp this summer!

Rayna is a rising senior at USC and an aspiring speech therapist. This will be her 4th summer at JCamp, and she loves being a counselor at the JLA! Some of her favorite activities are arts and crafts, Israeli culture, and dance! She's so excited for Summer 2024!

Dance your heart out and learn basic movement, creativity, choreography and performance skills. Campers will learn routines that incorporate new moves, the basic skills of musicality and creativity. The week ends with an amazing performance at Shabbat!
During our awards ceremony at Shabbat, we honor a counselor for their hard work and dedication as "Staff Member of the Week"
This is Francesca. She has been a counselor at JCamp for two years and this summer she’s going to be one of the JCamp Unit Heads! During Francesca’s time as a counselor, she participates in all of the JCamp gym activities. She played volleyball in high school and now competes in Japanese Shotokan Karate. Francesca is studying Kinesiology in college and is looking to pursue a career in Physical Therapy in the future.
Campers will tantalize their taste buds and have fun with food! This specialty will explore different recipes each week including appetizers, snacks, entrees, desserts, and more!
Our youngest campers get the special treat of spending their Friday afternoons hanging out on the patio for Water Play! We have splash pads, water squirters, and TONS of fun!
Karla is currently a sophomore at Ithaca College studying Cinema and Photography. She loves concerts and live music and trying new things. Karla has worked at JCamp for three years as a counselor and has made so many great memories. She is so excited to take on a new role this summer. Yay!

Ever wonder how a magician does a magic trick? This specialty unlocks some of the techniques of magic. Campers gain skills in acting, comedy, and memorization that are essential to a magician’s performance. They use a variety of normal household items such as cards, coins, cups & balls, and rope, and learn cool simple tricks!
Campers look forward to our end-of-the-week slideshow presentation at our Shabbat Celebration on Friday afternoons!

Celebrating our 3rd year of the Mental Health Graduate Student Fellowship! FJC is excited to welcome 17 passionate mental health fellows this year. Led by facilitators Brett Gurwitz, LMSW, and Tricia Stern, LCSW, our fellows gather weekly over the summer to learn, tackle case studies, and offer support for their camp roles. This fellowship was created to support the growth of mental health professionals and offer opportunities to work at camp while they're still in training. Here's to nurturing the next generation of mental health professionals!
Sasha has worked at JCamp for the past three years and this will be her fourth summer at the J! She is currently a rising junior at UC Davis studying Cinema & Digital Media and Studio Art. Her favorite JCamp activities are omanut and MESSH. In her free time, Sasha likes spending time with her family, going on road trips, and testing different art mediums. She can’t wait to meet you!
All campers have a chance to learn the basics of music and the opportunity to play various instruments including Guitar, Bass, Keyboard, Vocals, Drums, Percussion, and Ukulele.
Campers will come together to form a band and put on a rocking performance at the end of the week that we are sure will lead to some rock stars of the future!
Shabbat traditions make JCamp special for campers! One of our favorite traditions is getting to eat chocolate chip cookies for snack on Friday mornings!
The JCamp Counselor-In-Training Program is an exclusive opportunity for Rising 8th–10th Graders to build valuable professional and personal skills while giving them practical experience in our signature JCamp environment.
