What a beautiful morning at the Kirk. Having our youth involved in service is always a fantastic addition. The garden was renamed and dedicated as the Bassler Meditation garden. We also honored all the work of one of our youth members who remodeled the garden and helped restore our cross as his Eagle Scout project.
On Sunday the Kirk O’ the Valley celebrated its 70th anniversary. What a huge accomplishment to be serving our community for so long. We have bigger celebrations planned for the fall so keep an eye out for those.

Today we gathered together to celebrate the life of a long time member of our community. There are no words that can fully express what we feel when we loose someone. But today we filled the sanctuary with her favorite songs and laughed at fun memories and cried as our hearts grieved. Mathew 25:23 says And the Lord said “well done good and faithful servant. She was absolutely a good and faithful servant and we will see her again one day in the kingdom of Heaven.

The Youth Ministry Collective (aka our Youth Group) has been actively participating in some local beautification projects on our campus and the campus of our school. This week, we planted milkweed by the school's library to help support the butterfly population and bring new life to an area that very much needed it. It was such a fun project!

While there is much to be troubled about with the tense climate we have experienced this summer, we must remember our brothers and sisters in Lahaina who are still recovering from the devastating fires that cost many people everything they had.
This Sunday our church is responding to the call from our Presbytery to help raise money to send to Lahaina relief. We have dedicated this Sunday to be the day we make this happen in our church and we are inviting YOU our digital community to join us. We are so grateful to have a community that wants to help and we are thankful to have a small part in the process.
To donate to Lahaina Relief, silly click the link in our bio. Once you are on the landing page, select “General” and make sure to put “Lahaina” in the notes. All donations made this Sunday will be added to the final tally.
Let’s see how big we can show up for our neighbors who need it tomorrow. If you donate, please take a screenshot and tag us so we can share it on our stories 🙂 Thank you so much!

We are about a week and a half away from our first installment of what will be a tour through the work of French composer César Franck. Guided by professional organist, and member of The Kirk, Eric Cloud, you the guest will be immersed in an evening listening to some of the greatest works of a well-known and well-loved composer. During the show, Eric will provide depth and meaning to each piece and give you the chance to enjoy the raw emotion that comes through each note.
The event starts at 4 and there will be light refreshments to follow. This event is free, though donations are welcome to offset the cost of food and utilities. The address is 19620 Vanowen St. Reseda, CA 91335
