Together, families from across Southern California united to honor our veterans and celebrate the spirit of our community with good food, family fun, and an opportunity to connect with fellow members.
California fast food workers just won a seat at the table and $20/hr minimum wage! 🎉 Governor Gavin Newsom signed the milestone AB 1228 into law yesterday after a decade of strikes and worker actions. Together, we are taking on corporate greed by dismantling exploitative practices and demanding just wages, safer working conditions, more comprehensive training, and so much more. Together, we will continue to win for workers.

If anyone at LA County thinks we’re backing down from demanding a bonus for ALL OF US AT CORRECTIONAL HEALTH SERVICES, think again! We won’t stop until we get it. Recently, a delegation of us from CHS testified about the bonus to the Board of Supervisors, as this video shows. Our sentiments haven’t changed. The fight continues and – at SEIU Local 721 – WHEN WE FIGHT, WE WIN.
