Pediatric Cornea, Anterior Segment & External Diseases Specialist, Stein Eye Institute, UCLA
Simon completed his medical school training at the University of Oxford in 2006, followed by ophthalmology residency training based at the Moorfields Eye Hospital in London, where he was the 2013/14 Chief Resident. He underwent fellowship training in cornea and anterior segment diseases at Moorfields (2016), before completing an additional fellowship at The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto (2017), focusing on corneal and anterior eye disorders in children. In January 2018, he joined the faculty of the Stein Eye Institute at UCLA. Simon enjoys clinical education and research, has authored multiple peer-reviewed high-impact journal articles, and travels regularly to present his research in the field in national and international meetings and conferences. Simon is a committee member of the European Society of Ophthalmology Young Ophthalmologists (SOE YO), and is the current Editor of the SOE YO Newsletter.
