Making the 88 Beanie ππ. The first Beanie I made was in 1991, back then in Lima-PerΓΊ nobody was wearing (less making) Beanies, only Skateboarders did but I couldnβt afford a real one.
So I took a pair of scissors and cut off a sleeve of one of my Dads sweaters (sorry Dadπ¬) , I folded it in half and closed it with my Moms sewing machine, it was a navy blue color, at that time my favorite Skate brand was and we draw their logo everywhere, I took off the pressing foot of the sewing machine and freestyle βembroideredβ their logo on the beanie in red thread ( it came out terrible ) but I couldnβt wait to wear it. The next day I woke up and went to University wearing my brand new βBeanieβ, I thought people was gonna think I was cool but everybody made fun of me instead saying it was ridiculous π€. That was the first time I realized how much ahead of them I was in style and βfashionβ. The way I see it Skateboarding has always and to this day is very βfashion forwardβ, lots of clothing trends come straight out of Skateboarding culture, and thatβs a fact π.
In 1992 (a year after) Everybody at University were wearing beanies π€£, so they made fun of my new Baggy pants instead π³, but I wasnβt mad, They didnβt understand I was already in the future.... inspired by Skateboarding.β‘οΈπβ‘οΈ.

Made of Poly/Nylon filled with Polyester fiber and lined with satin π, features super soft faux fur on the hood and has 6 pockets: 2 in the arms with velcro closures, 2 chest pockets also with velcro closures and 2 front bottom patch pockets, comes with adjustable bungee cords in the waist and hood, a full zipper with an inside jacquard zipper guard and contrasting labels. Proper lighting is always necessary to take good pictures, I knew this from one b/w photography class I took a long time ago but you never really get it until you practice a lot, I always try to take really good pics of my products and thanks to I got the proper lighting to showcase the fur and colors of the new βOchoβ Hats that are dropping this week π€π.
