Good morning!
Today AVN Engineering is celebrating its (16) year anniversary.
It has been (16) years since I decided to become a Licensed Professional Engineer, essentially falling back to this career line, which was my calling since High School. Seasoned in the field of REAL ESTATE DEVELOPMENT, VALUATIONS, and CONSTRUCTION, I believe I have reached my 1st milestone in the Civil / Structural Engineering Industry.
I look forward to serving all of you that are set out into developing your most cherished estate, and will see to it that the level of care is met, and will be of the finest.
My specialties include: Structural, Grading, and Pool Engineering plans. Though architecture has always been a sensitive service function devoted to the finest that schooled architects have mastered, I have always been reluctant to offer this service. As a result, I have over this period of time have gotten to know many architectural designers that I have befriended, and would coordinate a preferred consultant per your request, to serve you in your geographical area.
It has been a privilege to service you in the past, as many that follow my FB page are also previous client/friends of mine, which are my valuable source for my ever expanding network through word-of-mouth referrals offered to friends and family.

Career Transformed!
I remember meeting my wife (to be) in the summer of 2005, and telling her that it was only days until the RECESSION slow-down will affect my livelihood in the industry of Real Estate Valuations. Sure enough, the impact was felt and I had lost my Class A office along Ventura Boulevard, falling back on what my father molded me to be, a member of the oldest profession in developing countries, a CIVIL ENGINEER. The only choice was to fulfill the dream my Dad set forth, as a degree was something that nobody can take away from you, not to be something bought, but rather earned.
Hence, my transition to the CIVIL / STRUCTURAL field, of which, I made many life-long connections with architects, contractors, engineering educators, and most of all other colleagues and mentor engineers. The latter people of influence have molded me to a practical side of engineering, of which, many people don’t see as of any meaningful experience, but of natural consequence. To be honest, said people of influence have shown me how to work not only in the realm of the BLACK and WHITE, but also to think and practice in the GRAY.
Experience in Engineering is pivotal, as all work-experience is accounted for before challenging the national and state specific exams, as a licensed “Professional Engineer”, hence the title of “P.E.” behind many of our names in the industry. The state’s CIVIL ENGINEER’s exam is grueling, and it took me (3) years to accomplish it in CA, while I was attempting my Master’s of Science degree in Structural Engineering. As a side note, President Barack Obama’s reign couldn’t come at a better time, as it was forcing me to stay in the academic line when there was ABSOLUTELY no movement in the construction or real estate industry, which I was experienced in years prior.
After many of the accolades were reached throughout my academic immersion back to STRUCTURAL DESIGN, my immediate family finally saw the fruits of my (7) year sacrifice. I chose this opportunity to project myself within my SPHERE of INFLUENCE {Yes, this also pertains to you the reader of this bio}, with the hopes of getting my name out...
