I had the opportunity to make a custom horn button for bitching 34 Ford.
A regular old horn button was modified for a bezel and seat. The opening was cut with a holesaw, the bezel was made from brass bar stock, and the seat from 18gauge steel. The components were silver soldered together, dressed to fit Doug's bronze medallion , then chromed. The button will snap right back onto his steering wheel.
The medallion fits in snuggly, and with a dab of silicone, it'll stay put for a lifetime.
Doug, thanks for trusting me with such a task. As always, it's a pleasure doing business with you!
On or off??

Happy Holidays!
Jen and I have an insane amount of inside jokes with each other... constantly making each other laugh, but this was taken to a whole different level.
Jen eats salad like every night for the last 12 years... and inevitably every single time(every night), she gets a piece of lettuce stuck on one of her front teeth, and me being the decent human I am, I tell her.. No matter where we are, this happens, and thus, I tell her so.
A few weeks ago, I had told Jen about this concept i had of taking a collection of glamor photos of her, all of them with a piece of lettuce on one of her front teeth.. we both cracked up, and like many of my AMAZING creative ideas, they just fade away.
Well, Jen has really outdone herself this time... she dragged the dogs to JCPenny's and got a portrait taken of herself and the dogs... she then, using pohotoshop, strategically added a piece of lettuce to her tooth....
Seeing this made me laugh hysterically and cry at the same time. Perhaps the best gift I've ever gotten, the ultimate inside joke! an instant classic. This print will be hanging on a wall in our house... for everyone to see and get a laugh at.
We wish you a happy holiday season.. but more than that, may you find joy and laughter in your life.. no matter how crazy life is , there is always laughter to be had!
See ya tomorrow!
Unfortunately, is down with the flu and won't be able to make it. Hopefully, he feels better soon! If you don't already, give him a follow and go check him out at his next event..
Feel better, George, you'll be missed!!

Holiday pop-up at Spragwerks headquarters this Saturday from noon till 5... coffee, snacks, plus multiple vendors with a wide variety of goods ranging from jewelry, accessories, vintage clothing, denim, pottery, and truly weird odds and ends..
Come by and say hello!!!!!
Stop by the shop next Saturday, the 16th, for some holiday cheer..
We'll be set up from noon till 5 slinging handmade goods, jewelry, vintage clothes, and weird doodads!
We took the little monsters to the beach yesterday... it was Rocco's first ocean adventure, and it's safe to say he loved it!
Whether it's competing with his lunatic sisters or the fact that he's missing a hind leg, this little guy doesn't let anything stop him!
A portrait of me in my shop shot by the extremely talented Ewan Burns... 2011ish??
I'm still in the same shop, and Spragwerks is still a business.. it's just morphed into something different. Back then I was primarily making jewelry and leather goods, awards, and doing tradeshows, and weekend sales. look closely, there isn't even a welding table yet. To be honest, I'm not even sure I had invested in a proper welder at this point. I think all i had was a small 110v lincoln welder...
Back then, all the welding and fabrication was done on the floor.. including my Model A pick-up.
Work, as in life evolve. My tooling as my skillsets have also evolved. These days, I'm doing much more fabrication than jewelry and leather work, and I'm grateful for all of it. Thank you for being part of my steady evolution, I'm forever grateful for your support!
I'm looking for a complete stock 327 or 350 sbc. . running as in, I want to see it run, and in the surrounding LA area.
Hit me up if you're holding!

It's one of my favorite places on earth.. Joshua Tree National Park.
We spent the day at Chocolate Boulders, getting spanked by V1's..
There's nothing like a serving of some humble pie, I loved every minute of it...
Get in where you fit in!
This is our 15th Thanksgiving dinner together. We've cooked all but 1 of them for friends and family, in 4 different places, always making due with what we have(or don't have). Friends and family are what make life woth living. Life happens so fast, we miss and love all of you!
I was once told that gratitude is an action...and I believe it to be true.
FRAME JIG FORSALE $150
Model A frame jig, made from 2x2x3/16 wall square tubing. I used this to build the frame for my roadster..
It's made to bolt to a cement floor.. then weld a Model A frame to the jig. Thus keeping everything level and secure while working on the frame..
once secured to the floor, I set the working height of the frame, leveled the frame out, and then welded a few verticle posts that then got welded to the frame. This came in very handy when I had to straighten the sagging frame rails, flatten my front crossmember, weld in the boxing plates, and cut out the original crossmember and weld in the new ones...
DM me if you have any questions.. it's located in El Sereno, LA-

A little Thursday afternoon driveshaft repair..the fixture table makes easy work of this type of repair. I wish I could tell you more, but I can't! I'm sworn to secrecy.... at least for now-
Keeping the ball rolling!
Installed the steering box(40 ford) , steering drop and tube... as well as the swing pedal assembly.
Hanging the doors next, then she's coming home for the final assembly and interior.
So far, everything is going together pretty smoothly. I guess
measuring a hundred times, and cut once or twice really pays off.
Disclaimer:
I'm far from an expert, and there are a multiple ways to skin a cat. This is just my preferred method.
Being a learn as you go type of guy.. and even though I've been doing some of this stuff for years, it's still nearly impossible to foresee that whatever is being done will go smoothly. each project has its own quirks...and it's own learning curve. the fun/challenging part is figuring out ways to counter those quirks and doing my best to get the results I'm after..
This videos (and more to follow) are my attempt at letting folks into my world..
With all that being said:
Got the piece all tacked in place and relatively flat.. next is to weld it all together. To minimize the amount of metal finishing I'll have to do later . I'll weld a couple a few inches at a time.. stopping and picking up a hammer and dolly to stretch the weld back out as I move along.
Hopefully it all goes as planned?!
Another lifetime
One of my prized possessions. A hand painted banner of St. Gerardo. Gifted to me by a friend. St. Gerard is the patron saint of Saint Lucy's in Newark N.J.. this is the church that was in the the First Ward neighborhood that my Grandfather grew up in. I'm far from a religious man.. yet I have so many fond memories of spending time with my grandparents who were devout Roman Catholics .. as a boy I remember going to the St. Gerard feast, and my grandfather holding me up as a stuck a dollar bill to the life-size plaster Saint that was being carried down the street during the yearly feast... then stuffing my face with zeppoles.
The palm cross was made by my Grandmother , what I believe to be from her last Palm Sunday...
In memory of my Grandfather I had a version of this tattooed on my chest by the super talented Michelle Tarantelli.. if my memory serves me correct it was towards the beginning of her tattoo career, and she nailed it! I also recall that I got this tattoo 15 days into a 20 day fast.. needless to say it was a very surreal experience-
Years later I got a random package in the mail. I forget exactly where she found it , but she got it and mailed it to me... it was such a thoughtful and generous gesture and something I'll cherish forever
.
I have no idea what's going on here!?!
