“On Being” is a group exhibition that channels art as a conduit for self-healing and personal exploration presented by the art therapy students at Loyola Marymount University. Join us in this exploration of the universal aspects of human experience through the lens of 12 artists and art therapists. The exhibit will be open in the Thomas P. Kelly Jr Student Gallery from Sept. 12th to 29th and the opening reception will be on Tuesday, September 12th, from 7 pm to 9pm.

Did you know that this annual event was created by transgender activist Rachel Crandall of Michigan in 2009 because the only other well known transgender centered day was the Transgender Day of Remembrance which mourns the murders of transgender people.

Today we celebrate living members of the transgender community.

Here's to honoring your true self. Anyone who thinks you don't deserve to be yourself can f**k right off.

I don’t have any photos of Ken Block and I together, but if I did, there would be a speech bubble above our heads with Ken arguing to make the logo bigger, and me pushing back that it was big enough. But if you knew Ken, bigger was always better. I have many memories of travels to Asia and design disputes over the years we worked together. He always had a clear and specific vision for his brand. I hope he is going bigger and faster than ever in the spirit realm. Sending so much love to his family and friends. photo from a factory tour we took in 2001.
