Today, we mourn the loss of a remarkable leader in education—Roger Rossier.

Roger’s impactful career spanned roles as a geography teacher, dean of guidance, counselor, and service in the United States Navy.

He and his wife, Barbara, both USC alumni, dedicated their lives to advancing education, especially for special-needs students

Their visionary leadership culminated in a $20 million gift to USC's School of Education, a historic donation that led to its renaming in their honor.

As we reflect on his life’s work, let's continue to embrace the values Roger championed: equity, excellence, and opportunity in education for every individual.
