We can’t believe it’s already been over a month since A Place Called Home held its annual GirlPower! Luncheon💐

For those who don’t know, each spring APCH’s annual GirlPower! Luncheon brings together family and friends to celebrate our GirlPower peer mentoring cohort as they culminate their program, and to honor inspiring women making a difference in their industries and the world!

And a few members of Las Fotos Project came out to highlight just what makes the event so special! 💓

The APCH GirlPower Program is a rite of passage program that teaches young women empowerment, self-respect, and necessary life skills as they grow into adulthood. Proceeds from the Luncheon went towards supporting all of the programming, including GirlPower, for South Central youth for the coming year 🌿✨

This year APCH’s Music program took a group of 17 out to the 2024 !🎶

The Group got to explore the entire Convention Center and experience firsthand what the professional instruments coming out this year will look and feel like!

✨Members got hands-on demos with the instruments, were able to play the saxophones and pianos they found, and got to take photos with some of their favorite musicians!

This year was a blast and we hope this helped energize and inspire all of the members as we start the semester! ⚡️
