Hello friends,
A little note to tell you our studio is temporarily closed while we make repairs from an underground leak. We are continuing to work by appointment from a nearby location, and are available for calls and scheduled visits. All is well, nothing is hurt or damaged and this actually gives us a chance to make some well deserved improvements to our home away from home.

I love stepping back in time with these resonant old photos. Those were bittersweet days of juggling creativity, clients and growing children.

Solid white oak with dove gray leather insert for a Texas home. The second piece acts as an impromptu shelf for cocktails, comestibles and other goodies. Large in scale yet unimposing, we married details from our April and Risser series to arrive at this uniquely gorgeous coffee table.

and still being produced.
Great article recently by explaining why so many current sofas are not an ideal investment. Surprise!
This is why I started my company 25 years ago. Being in the architecture and design industry, I saw too much mediocre furniture being made at unreasonable prices. I saw companies not taking accountability for delays or defects. I saw furniture that was beautiful for a year but that didn’t last. My goal was to design and fabricate great furniture locally at a fair price with fair trade practices. Here we are. It’s been an awesome 25 years and we still love doing it. Feel free to order a digital catalog or schedule an appointment.
50 years ago today, my dear uncle was killed in a plane crash.
He was a cameraman in the entertainment industry, and the crew was flying from a film set in Mammoth back home to Burbank airport. They crashed into the mountain just a few minutes from takeoff and all 36 people aboard lost their lives.
My uncle was a daily part of my life, as he lived next door. One day he was there, and the next he was just…gone. His wedding ring was salvaged from the crash site, and my aunt wore it on a chain around her neck for years. It was blackened and bent, and still inscribed with their names. A flight attendant with PanAm since the 1960’s, she continued to fly until her retirement in 2015. She never remarried.
Consumed by thoughts of the crash at this anniversary, I asked my 80 year old aunt if I could look for the ring which has been hidden away for decades. She said yes. And I found it.
I am sharing the event here in order to help set it free. This type of early trauma can make you a sociopath, or an empath. Thanks for allowing me to unearth a personal experience that for better or worse, helped shaped my life path.

Sirk table shown in solid sapele.
Originally designed in 1998, the leg detail was a last minute improvisation due to some leftover wood in the workshop which we decided to have fun with. At the time, I was a huge fan of the work of and this was my homage to him.

Wallscape gallery panels come in an unlimited assortment of shapes and sizes. Use one or line an entire wall with creative patterns.
Originally inspired by Parisian coat racks, I began designing them around 2015 and we’ve been happily producing them ever since. The best part is that they look great naked OR filled generously with books and other decorative objects.
