This isn’t an easy post to do, but here we go.

Two weeks ago, on February 11th our family lost the man we owe a huge part of our success to - Cisco Pinedo, my dad’s eldest brother.

He made the most of his time, and truly lived to the fullest. I don’t think I’ve ever met a man so genuine and full of love. You left behind a legacy everyone loves to hear: a self-made man, who experienced life with his true love, made a beautiful family, and built a career with passion and good intention.

To my tio, I can’t thank you enough for bringing up my dad and being the role model he needed. I laugh every time he tells me stories of how he would be in the streets doing who knows what, and no one else would look for him but you, getting on his case and showing him theres more to life than what he was exposed to as a teenage boy living in South Central. My dad is hardworking, he is loving, he is wise, and he is strong because of you tio.

The family will continue to spread opportunities and positivity beyond our communities.

We love you, thank you for everything. We’ll see each other again, but until then, we have some work to do.
