Offering a combination of acupuncture, manual therapy, rehabilitation, and herbal medicine

A patient of mine just sent me a picture taken by her husband while she was in the hospital................ She sent this picture to all her family and friends to brag about how acupuncture helped her relieve severe pain after the back surgery............................

Acupuncture can be an effective alternative for managing pain, especially for patients who cannot tolerate conventional pain medications due to their side effects. Here is the story describing how a patient became an acupuncture advocate after receiving it for the first time in the hospital following lumbar surgery:

Mrs. S had been struggling with debilitating back pain for years, and her condition eventually necessitated lumbar surgery. While the surgery provided some relief, the post-operative pain was excruciating. Conventional pain medications offered temporary respite but came with a host of unpleasant side effects, leaving Mrs. S feeling nauseous, drowsy, and constipated. Desperate for an alternative, she reluctantly agreed to try acupuncture during her hospital stay recommended by the MD.

To her surprise, the acupuncture session was a transformative experience. As I gently inserted the thin needles into specific points in different sites of her body EXCEPT her lower back where her surgery was, she felt an immediate sense of calm wash over her. The once-unbearable pain gradually subsided, replaced by a soothing warmth that radiated throughout her being. Unlike the foggy haze induced by pain medications, her mind remained clear and focused, allowing her to conquer the challenges from her physical therapists and occupational therapists in the rehabilitation training.

From that moment on, Mrs. S became a fervent advocate for acupuncture, particularly for those seeking relief from chronic pain without the adverse effects of pharmaceuticals. She shared her remarkable journey with her family and friends, encouraging them to explore this ancient practice with an open mind. Her newfound passion inspired many to consider acupuncture as a viable alternative or complementary therapy, paving the way for a more holistic approach to pain management! β€οΈβ€πŸ©ΉπŸ’•

Zhu's Scalp Acupuncture (ZSA) Protocol to Treat Insomnia Due to Disharmony Between the Heart and Kidney.

VPF x 1
Upper Jiao x3
Lower Jiao x3
Head & Face x 1

Gentle Cho Qi method 10x repeat 3 times

According to traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) theory, insomnia is often caused by a disharmony or imbalance between the heart and kidney. The heart is associated with fire and the kidney with water, and their proper coordination is essential for restful sleep.

There is scientific evidence that acupuncture can cause physiological changes in the heart, and from a modern medical perspective, these changes may contribute to improved sleep quality.

Additionally, studies have shown that acupuncture at HT7 and KI7 can effectively treat insomnia and related symptoms like anxiety and depression.

Cerebellum Degeneration: Chris's Inspiring Recovery With Acupuncture 04/08/2024

FROM HOSPICE TO REGAINING HER LIFE BACK AGAIN! -------------The Story of Mrs. Chris's Journey to Recovery

Mrs. Chris, a vibrant and determined woman, had been facing significant health challenges in recent years. Diagnosed with cancer and cerebellar degeneration, she found herself struggling with the debilitating effects of these conditions, particularly when it came to her ability to walk. Confined to hospice care, Mrs. Chris's mobility had become severely limited, leaving her feeling frustrated and disheartened.

However, Mrs. Chris's story took a remarkable turn when she was introduced to an integrative approach to her care. Combining Neuro-acupuncture with targeted physical therapy, her healthcare team set out to help her regain her strength and mobility.

The Neuro-acupuncture treatments, which focused on stimulating specific points on the scalp and body, helped to alleviate the symptoms of her condition and improve her overall mobility. Coupled with the personalized physical therapy regimen, Mrs. Chris began to experience a gradual but steady improvement in her ability to walk.

Over the course of the last 2-3 years, Mrs. Chris's progress has been nothing short of inspiring. With the unwavering support of her husband and her own determination, she has gone from being confined to hospice care and struggling to walk, to now being able to navigate her daily life with the aid of a walker.
The transformation has been a testament to the power of integrative medicine and the resilience of the human spirit. Mrs. Chris's story serves as a shining example of how, with the right combination of treatments and a steadfast commitment to recovery, even the most daunting challenges can be overcome.

A Renewed Sense of Hope
As Mrs. Chris continues on her journey, she is filled with a renewed sense of hope and optimism. She is grateful for the care and support she has received, and she looks forward to the day when she can walk independently once again. Her story is a powerful reminder that with the right approach and an unwavering spirit, ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE!

A few months ago, 65-year-old Mr. M was rushed to the hospital after suffering a devastating hemorrhagic stroke. The doctors quickly sprang into action, performing an emergency craniotomy to relieve the pressure building up in his brain.

As Mr. M slowly regained consciousness in the intensive care unit, he was left with significant neurological deficits. He could barely move his right arm and leg, and his speech was slurred and difficult to understand. The medical team knew they had a long road to recovery ahead.

Recognizing the potential benefits of integrative medicine, his physiatrist recommended incorporating scalp acupuncture into his rehabilitation plan. Scalp acupuncture is a specialized technique that targets specific points on the scalp to stimulate the brain and promote neurological recovery.

Knowing that Mr. M is afraid of needles and a portion of his left skull was still absent, I selected points on Mr. M's right scalp that corresponded to the affected areas of his brain as near as possible. For the first visit, I chose to use only 7 sterile 0.16x30 mm needles, ensuring they were placed at the correct depth and angle, and applied quick thrusting stimulations.

At first, Mr. M was skeptical about the treatment, but he soon noticed subtle changes. During the sessions, he felt a gentle tingling sensation on his scalp, and afterward, he reported feeling more alert and focused.

Over the course of the next few weeks, Mr. M's progress was remarkable. He regained some movement in his right arm and leg, and his speech became clearer and more intelligible. The nursing staff marveled at his determination and the positive impact of scalp acupuncture.

This story serves as a testament to the power of integrative medicine, where conventional Western treatments and traditional Chinese therapies can work in harmony to achieve remarkable outcomes. The integration of scalp acupuncture into M's post-operative care played a crucial role in his remarkable recovery, highlighting the potential of this ancient practice to complement modern medical interventions.

As Mr. M continued his rehabilitation in another skilled nursing facility, his family and the medical team celebrated each milestone, grateful for the opportunity to witness the remarkable healing that can occur when diverse approaches to healthcare come together. I truly hope that Mr. M will continue to have the opportunity to benefit from Scalp acupuncture/ Neuroacupuncture in the remaining journey of his recovery.
