Recent days have been horrific. While many are struggling, we know it is vitally important to provide moments of hope, joy, and light for our children.
To turn our hopelessness into action, we invite our PJ Library subscribers to participate in Little Hands, Big Hearts, a campaign to send messages of hope from PJ Library kids in North America to Israeli children. Please ask your child to write a message or draw a picture to send to a child in Israel, and then mail your card to the PJ Library office in New York:
PJ Library

Attn: Little Hands, Big Hearts
New York, NY 10022
To help raise awareness for this effort, please share a photo of your child working on their card and tag us on instagram () in your post or story.
Finding Comfort in Music: Three Israeli Songs to Listen to as a Family Lyrics and music to three songs that help families find strength and solace.
In these dark days we all we need is a ray of sunshine. And what is better than spending an hour together, as a community, singing Shabbat songs and watching our children be happy?
You are invited to join us for a musical Kabbalat Shabbat in support of Israel.
We will sing songs, light the candles, eat Challah, drink grape juice and enjoy a PJ Library story and most of all- be there for each other.
Everyone is welcome!

Did you know?
What do the lulav and etrog have to do with Sukkot?
The lulav is a cluster of plants: a palm branch, two boughs of willow, and three boughs of myrtle. The etrog is a citron fruit — basically an overgrown lemon. Together the lulav and etrog are called arba minim (ahr-BAH mee-NEEM), which is Hebrew for "the four species."
These symbols reconnect us to a time 3,000 years ago when most Jews in Israel lived as farmers, and the rhythm of life was tied to the land. Sukkot comes right at the end of the fall harvest.
When we shake the lulav and etrog in six directions — forward, right, back, left, up, and down — we create a force field, surrounding us on all sides. We hope to be surrounded by and protected by our many blessings this year.
Don't miss this! Tuesday at 7:30 pm.
