We can do things to make our lives better, but doing so becomes easier once we understand what we could be like, and what we could do, if we became the best possible versions of ourselves.
Having that vision will help identify the attributes that cause us to fall short of becoming our best. Only then can we determine where we need to take action.

It takes just a little ice on the wings of an aircraft to send it plummeting to the ground. As we try to become airborne in our new lives as recovered and , we must be ever mindful of things that might accrue to our wings and impede our progress. Old habits. Unhealthful relationships. Selfishness. Dishonesty. Once we identify those impediments, we must scrape them off. Without hesitation. Our lives depend on it.
For we and , can add to our disconnect with others in the program who are convinced of a personal higher power. Why not celebrate the time of year when the sun itself hits rock bottom and, as we did, returns day by day to the light?
