Honored to be invited for a talkback this Thursday after the show, where we had an important discussion on the issues of domestic violence and su***de depicted in the performance, and the mental health impacts that can accompany them.
I highly recommend checking out this powerful and innovative show by the Chamber Theatre Co. and Teatro Tercera Llamada. Itโs an intimate experience that truly resonates.
And thank you to the director, Jay Padilla, for inviting me! Theatre can be a powerful experience and it's also a great opportunity for growth.

Many have asked "What does the title mean?"
From the playwright:
"The title of the play comes from the belief that expecting people with use disorders to be able to integrate back into their community, family, and workplace immediately after discharge from an inpatient stay of around 28 days is like asking a toddler to do Algebra. Itโs simply unrealistic, they are not ready and remain incredibly vulnerable to relapse and su***de."
First rehearsal for Asking Toddlers to do Algebra, an original play by therapist, Molly Fitzgerald King !

Go to grapevine.org and look up WICK to find out more.
