Su***de is the 2nd leading cause of death among individuals aged 10–34 and the 4th leading cause of death for individuals ages 35–44. Those at risk for su***de reported a decrease in suicidal thoughts and depression when they were asked direct, compassionate questions by family and friends. While no one can be responsible for preventing a death by su***de, we can all play a part through awareness and intervention.

The highest rates of su***de in the U.S. are among American Indians/Alaskan Natives. BIPOC populations often face barriers to high-quality mental health care, such as economic, geographic and cultural concerns. Our goal is to reduce stigma and increase access to exceptional care for all.

Transgender adults are nearly 9 times more likely to attempt su***de at some point in their life compared to the general population. Evidence-based mental health care provides the tools needed to achieve balance and live life authentically.

Symptoms of depression were reported 59% more frequently by Hispanic adults than non-Hispanic white adults. There are unique barriers to mental health care that prevent the Hispanic population from reaching out for help, such as associated stigma.
