Ever looked at our hand-painted Georgian-revival style lobby ceilings? In 1984, after the hotel had been closed for nearly 10 years, the hand-painted ceilings in the lobby of The Brown were covered under layers of soot. Workers discovered the vibrant colors beneath and spent days meticulously restoring it. Today, our ceiling appears just as beautiful as it did 100 years ago!
