African Community Center of Lowell

A safe place for immigrants and refugees to receive a wide variety of support; including English assistance, primary/secondary education, jobs and more.

From working at the previous African Assistance Center of Lowell and the International Institute of New England (IINE Lowell), founder and Executive Director Gordon Halm realized that there was a significant lack of services offered to new refugees to Lowell. Refugees are only supported for a certain period of time, and many immigrants arrive to the country with virtually no assistance whatsoever.
