The UMass Lowell Chamber Singers are honored to be participating in the "Okeghem Weekend” being presented by the acclaimed early music ensemble Blue Heron, in which the works of Franco-Flemish composer Johannes Okeghem will be performed and celebrated in a variety of events throughout the weekend. The Chamber Singers will attend the 3:00 concert at First Church in Cambridge and perform Okeghem’s “Alma redemptoris mater” in a masterclass with Blue Heron’s artistic director Scott Metcalfe and other members of the ensemble. Blue Heron is one of the most celebrated early music ensembles in the country, and we are very much looking forward to working with them this weekend!

Jonathan Barber:
voted #1 Up-and-Coming Drummer in 2018 in Modern Drummer. He is an accomplished musician who has worked with top artists like Pat Metheny and Terrace Martin , as well as leading his own band Vision Ahead.

Drummers have the opportunity to try out the hybrid drum kit after the demonstration.

The renovations of the Durgin Hall Concert Hall have begun! A team of skilled workers, armed with determination and power tools, descended upon the hall like superheroes this Monday to begin the process of removing the seats. In three days, they were completely gone.

UMass Lowell is looking for private instructors for piano, guitar, and violin/viola.
