Need a place to enjoy the outdoors? We got your back!

- Lubbock Lake Landmark is an archeological and natural history preserve located at 2401 Landmark Drive, Lubbock, Texas. It is free to the public and they are open 9am-5pm

- Mae Simmons Park is a beautiful lake, full of greenery on the East side of Lubbock. Perfect for casual running, catch and release fishing, trail running, hiking, or mountain biking. It connects to Dunbar Historic Lake Park with trails at the end, next to Dunbar Lake Dam. The park is open at all times and is free to use!

- Caprock Canyon State Park is full of incredible wildlife from Bison to Bats. They offer hiking, camping, horseback riding, fishing, swimming or even geocaching! They have more than 85 miles worth of trail and, being only 90 minutes away, is worth checking out!

- Palo Duro Canyon State Park is the second largest canyon in the country and is only 2 hours away from Lubbock. With over 30 miles of trail systems, they have plenty of hiking, biking, and equestrian trails that allow you to explore the canyon. They have camp sites ranging from tents and backcountry backpacking to glamping sites. Make your trip even more worth while by checking out their BBQ dinners and Outdoor Musical “TEXAS” with singing, dancing, fireworks, and Texas humor!

- Wildcat Bluff Discovery Center is a sanctuary of natural beauty 2 hours from Lubbock. They have pet friendly, hiking and biking trails. They also have several educational programs and guided hikes to encourage learning about the outdoors and ecosystems in our region!
