Why the change? It’s pretty easy…
1. Diamontrigue is hard to say, and even harder to spell. Royal Hummingbird is easy – and our logo looks great on our jewelry boxes!

2. Since we offer the full range of gemstone options including Moissanite, Lab Grown and Mined Diamonds, and Colored Gemstones, it makes sense to use a name that everyone can come to know, no matter what their gemstone choice!

For 7 years, Royal Hummingbird Studio has been located inside Diamontrigue of Lubbock, providing a fully interactive custom design experience… the first of its kind in our area. The demand for customization and custom design is higher than ever before, with everyone we meet wanting to express their love and commitment in a unique and beautiful way. Royal Hummingbird has made their dreams of custom designed jewelry become a comfortable, enjoyable, affordable reality.

For our Owner/Designer Susan, it’s a dream that became a passion, that lead to a formal education with the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) – and with encouragement from so many, it’s time for this bird to fly! So, we’re simply switching the names and putting Royal Hummingbird on the building instead.
No other changes – same Owner/Designer of both Royal Hummingbird and Diamontrigue (that’s Susan), and same wonderful staff!
Not to worry… you will also see Diamontrigue of Lubbock on our front door, as it is now located inside Royal Hummingbird (that’s the switching part) and will continue to offer all of the jewelry, services and gemstone warranty you have trusted for over 42 years. There will be a portion of our Royal Hummingbird website devoted to Diamontrigue bridal and basics, just like our other jewelry lines like Ti Sento, Crislu, and Anna Zuckerman Luxury.

The most common repair question we get asked is, “how much does it cost to have a ring sized?” Typically we will answer, “it’s easier to see the ring to know,” and here’s why:
- Are you sizing up or down?
- Is it silver? White gold? Yellow gold?
- Are there stones on the band? How far do the stones go down the band?
- How wide is the band?
- How thick is the band?
- How many sizes do you need to go up/down?

This is why we always advise you to bring your ring in for us to get a good look at it, and tell you what can or can’t be done! This goes for replacing stones too… there are so many factors that go into the cost of repair!

My name is Mallory and I graduated in August last year with a Bachelor of Science in Retail Management. I work here at Diamontrigue managing our social media pages! I began an internship here in the summer of 2020, and have gone from intern to part-time employee to full-time employee since then! This was one of the first pictures I took with my Tech ring, and I’m still just as in love with it now as I was then. I customized this design, Vintage Matador, with Susan and couldn’t have been happier with how it turned out. I never really worried about getting a college ring until I saw what Susan does here. I remember falling in love with the Vintage Matador the first time I saw it. I chose a two-tone (14K Yellow Gold and Continuum Sterling Silver) because I wear both colors of jewelry often, and it made it that much more unique to me and my style. That’s what I love about our college ring program: you make your ring completely YOURS. I’ve witnessed quite a few custom design appointments during my 1.5 years working here, and Susan puts her whole heart into every design and is totally transparent about every step… you know exactly what you are paying for and the quality is some of the best I’ve seen!
