On Tuesday, May 28th, Spring Branch Independent School District celebrated its Teacher of the Month award. This month, Ana Quinones, 4th grade Math and Science teacher from Hollibrook Elementary was honored with the award for her dedication to teaching. Keegan Savell, the General Manager for Sterling McCall Toyota, and Christine Romano, also representing Sterling McCall Toyota presented Ana with a gift basket.

It was an exciting morning celebrating Kids' Meals, Inc. ground breaking! This new facility will help feed 26,000 preschool-aged children each weekday by 2031. As Kids' Meals CEO, Beth Harp, said, "behind every one of those numbers is a hungry child." What an honor to be in the room with so many generous Houstonians who have made this possible.
On December 2, 2023, Ira Subaru Manchester had the honor of hosting a magical Wish Reveal in collaboration with Make-A-Wish New Hampshire. Our goal for 2023 was to enhance our partnership with Make-A-Wish through the Subaru Share The Love initiative, bringing more joy and hope to children facing critical illnesses. This special event marked a highlight of our efforts, as we transformed our dealership into a Hollywood dreamland to fulfill a young girl's wish for "The Hollywood experience."
The journey began when Make-A-Wish New Hampshire’s director, Olivia Stanas, approached our team members, Courtney Gagnon and Robb Goodwin, with the idea of hosting a wish reveal at our dealership. Without hesitation, they seized the opportunity, understanding the profound impact such an event would have on the child and her family.
With the details in hand, our General Manager, Steve DeSilva, along with Courtney and Robb, got to work. They meticulously planned every aspect, turning our dealership into a glitzy Hollywood set for the day. The red carpets, signs, and glamorous decorations set the stage for a truly unforgettable experience.
The wish reveal was attended by over 50 of the girl's friends, family, teachers, and dealership staff, all eager to witness the moment her dream came true. Her parents had cleverly disguised the visit as a routine car shopping trip, so when she arrived, she began exploring our Subaru models, considering which one to pick.
However, the real surprise was yet to come. As she wandered through the transformed showroom, it gradually dawned on her that this was no ordinary car shopping day. The realization that her wish was being granted right there, amidst the Hollywood-themed decorations, was a powerful and emotional moment. There were few dry eyes in the building as everyone shared in her joy and excitement.
After the heartfelt reveal at the dealership, the celebration continued. A limousine whisked her away to go ice skating, adding another layer of fun and excitement to her special day. Then, in January, the culmination of her wish took place as she flew to Hollywood to experience the star-studded adventure she had always dreamed of.
This event was a testament to the power of community and the impact of compassion. Seeing her dream come true reminded us all of the importance of giving back and supporting those in need. It reinforced our commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of children and families facing challenging circumstances.
At Ira Subaru Manchester, we are incredibly proud to have been a part of this heartwarming Wish Reveal with Make-A-Wish New Hampshire. The experience has left a lasting impression on everyone involved and reaffirmed our dedication to the Subaru Share The Love initiative. Ira Subaru Manchester Donates $51,000 To Make-A-Wish As Part Of Subaru “Share The Love Event"
From November 2023 to January 2024, Ira Subaru Manchester was honored to take part in the Annual Subaru Share the Love event. This unique program allowed each customer who purchased a Subaru during the timeframe to select one of five charities to which Subaru donated $250 on their behalf. The chosen charities include Make-A-Wish, the National Park Foundation, ASPCA, Meals on Wheels, and our beloved local charity, Make-A-Wish New Hampshire.
Wanting to further foster a culture of generosity, Ira Subaru Manchester went a step beyond. For every new vehicle sold during this event, the dealership contributed an additional $100 to Make-A-Wish New Hampshire. This additional donation served as a testament to their commitment to aid the community and create a meaningful impact on the lives of local children.
The culmination of efforts was marked when Subaru of Manchester had the privilege to present a check amounting to over $51,000 to Olivia Stanos from Make-A-Wish New Hampshire. The ceremony was attended by Subaru of New England representatives, Group 1 Automotive executives, and our dedicated team at Ira Subaru Manchester.

Gene Messer Auto Group came together for a meaningful volunteer event at the South Plains Food Bank this week. The combined effort of all six stores: Gene Messer Chevrolet, Gene Messer Toyota, Gene Messer Ford Lubbock, Gene Messer Hyundai, Gene Messer Kia, and Gene Messer Volkswagen: resulted in a team of over 30 individuals. Together, they worked tirelessly to build more than 1,500 boxes of groceries specifically for senior citizens in the South Plains community.
In just three hours, the team managed to package an astounding total of over 20,000 pounds of food. This collaborative effort highlights Gene Messer Auto Group's commitment to giving back and making a positive impact in the local community. Well done to everyone involved in this remarkable initiative!

In honor of Earth Day and Earth Month, employees across Group 1’s Houston locations came together to plant trees in Alief Independent School District Alief Liestman Elementary School . The dedicated team from Liestman, led by Principal Noe Galindo and Assistant Principal Jayne Williams, worked alongside volunteers from the Group 1 corporate office, Sterling McCall Lexus , Sterling McCall Honda , and passionate teachers from the school.
Together, they planted a total of 25 trees around the school's playground, known as "Liestman Spark Park." This initiative aims to offer numerous physical and mental health benefits to the children, including providing shade and cool spots to rest, as well as enhancing the air quality in their play areas.

This past Wednesday, a few of Rockwall Ford’s ladies attended the Spring Brunch-living life with zest! This event was hosted by the professional women’s alliance, a branch of the Rockwall chamber of commerce. We heard from three amazing speakers who shared with and advised us how we can live our best lives in our homes by what we put on and wear, and what we can do with the joy that we find even through hard circumstances.
