When I read about Sunday of Holy Week and prepare my soul to celebrate resurrection life, Matthew 28:6 jumps off the page, “He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead, just as he said would happen.” HE DID IT! Our God isn’t afraid to do what He said He would.
This is the confidence of our faith — that God is faithful, and He does what He promises. He’s promised us salvation, hope, and a future. He’s promised never to leave us, nor forsake us. He’s promised us power by the Holy Spirit, and His blessing on our obedience. The bedrock of these promises is celebrated today in the resurrection of Christ, just as He said!
As we celebrate Easter today remind your soul of this truth: We are celebrating Jesus doing exactly what He said He would do, for our salvation and our hope. Not only did He do it, but He did it for us. Have faith in His promises today!
”Early on Sunday morning, as the new day was dawning, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went out to visit the tomb. Suddenly there was a great earthquake! For an angel of the Lord came down from heaven, rolled aside the stone, and sat on it. The guards shook with fear when they saw him, and they fell into a dead faint. Then the angel spoke to the women. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I know you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead, just as he said would happen. Come, see where his body was lying. And now, go quickly and tell his disciples that he has risen from the dead, and he is going ahead of you to Galilee. You will see him there. Remember what I have told you.” The women ran quickly from the tomb. They were very frightened but also filled with great joy, and they rushed to give the disciples the angel’s message. And as they went, Jesus met them and greeted them. And they ran to him, grasped his feet, and worshiped him. Then Jesus said to them, “Don’t be afraid! Go tell my brothers to leave for Galilee, and they will see me there.”“
Matthew 28:1-2, 4-10 NLT
“ because you didn’t want me enslaved to fear, anxiety, or sin-you sacrificed yourself so that love could win.”
Did you know that we have been given the authority through Jesus Christ? Use your mouth and your actions. Say this “fear you have no authority over me, my family, my business, or anything that my God has given me!” Let us remember why Christ did what he did for us. Lord, we break every chain that has tried to enslave us and we stand here today free because of you, thank you Lord!
As we continue to take the adventure of Holy Week exploring the life of Jesus leading up to His death, burial, and resurrection, don’t miss the remainder of Thursday. Luke captures it for us by letting us know, “Jesus went to the temple daily.”
The resurrection is the event that changed the world, but the example of Jesus’ daily communion with God and service to others is what perpetuates that change today. Don’t just look to Sunday as your “moment.” Focus on your daily communion with God and service to others as the momentum that carries you after Sunday. If resurrection moments don’t create daily routines, the power is missed. Sunday’s coming, but today is here. Embrace the daily with God.
”Every day Jesus went to the Temple to teach, and each evening he returned to spend the night on the Mount of Olives. The crowds gathered at the Temple early each morning to hear him.“
Luke 21:37-38 NLT
Holy Week continues
2 Corinthians 6:14 Be ye unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? And what communion hath light with darkness.
We the believers are called the to righteousness and in doing so sometimes we are paired with others that do not share such responsibility it is our duty to be the light in the dark, to show are friends, family, co-workers, neighbors and even strangers who Jesus is and what was sacrificed for us to live forgiven today.
Be the light today
What a powerful name it is! The name of “Jesus!”
Ephesians 6:10 “ Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might.”
As we continue HOLY WEEK, let’s be reminded of the Authority we are given over the world and satan through the 🩸 BLOOD of Jesus!
!
Holy Week is here let us celebrate the coming of the lord!
Today Jesus road on his cult through Bethphage and the People asked him to tell his followers to stop praising him and chanting Jesus replied “If they keep quit, the stones along the road would burst into cheers”
Whoooooaaaa tell me my God don’t flex
let’s rejoice of the coming of Christ.
Luke 19: 28-40
