As the 2023-2024 board year officially comes to end we would like to take a moment to thank our Board of Governors and Luke AFB Thrift Shop volunteers. Without all of their hard work and dedication none of our endeavors would be possible. Here’s to another year of being the change & making a difference!

We are excited to reveal the LSC 2024-2025 Board of Governors!

Here’s to another great year of growth in philantropy, friendship, and so much more! 💙

This board year the Luke Spouses’ Club (LSC) is happy to announce that we have given a total of $60,000 (our largest contribution to date) for dependent and spouse higher education! 20 honored scholars have been selected (our highest recipient number to date) and all will be awarded for the 2024-2025 academic school year!

As part of our process, we send our redacted applications to Estrella Mountain Community College Veteran’s Services Office. Their unbiased, professional and experienced teammate each package and the scored are averaged out. These scores give us the foundation to provide scholarship amounts to each applicant dependent on several factors to include community involvement, academics, extra curricular, an essay, etc. Each year we host a Scholarship Awards Banquet to honor the recipients, their families, the Thrift Shop volunteers (for which we wouldn’t have the funds to support the scholarships) and the EMCC team.

This year, the 56 Fighter Wing & the 944 Fighter Wing helped the LSC in presenting our EMCC team with a small token of appreciation to thank them for over 10 years of partnership.

CONGRATULATIONS to all of this year’s recipients and THANK YOU to the Thrift Shop Family, 56FW, 944FW and our friends at EMCC for all of the continued support!

This is a free family event on January 26th •3:30pm - 8:00pm• located at Hangar 999.

This is a base wide event to celebrate and learn about the diverse cultures of the international squadrons here at Luke AFB.

Hanger 999 Location - Enter South Gate - Continue straight on W Super Sabre St.
Make a right on N 146th.
It will be the second entrance on the left.
Follow that and Hanger 999 will be straight ahead.

Operation Cookie Drive was in full force on the 18th and 19th - THOUSANDS of cookies all packaged up, tied with a pretty red/green ribbon, adorned with a holiday card from a local elementary student, and off to spread a little holiday cheer to the unaccompanied airmen here at Luke AFB!

It never ceases to amaze just how much community support is put in for this event. A shout out to all the Luke spouses and their families for baking and volunteering to help and to our friend Wally and her neighborhood for always supporting with a scrumptious delivery of too many cookies to count! This years drive was such a success that we had extras to give to each squadron when the First Sergeants picked up AND to a few extra places around base - like the chapel, pharmacy volunteers, library, and more!

🎄‘tis the season for one of LSC’s major traditions (and a community favorite)!

We are still in search of community members willing to decorate some of our wreaths and trees (or two…or three if the felling strikes you) or if you already have one that’s completely your own you’re willing to donate. There is no rhyme or reason to how you can decorate your tree or wreath. Among the traditionally decorated ones, there will be some that may come with little gifts such as candies, scentsy, gift cards and more! Our Madam President has set a lofty goal of collecting 100 wreaths/trees this year, so please help if you are able!

Attached are a handful of some we have received already this year. We’ll leave an element of surprise for the rest and hope you join us for the main event on Thursday, December 7th!

TONIGHTS THE NIGHT! LSC Open House 🤩 This family friendly (yes, bring the kids) event offers 20+ vendors with drawings at every booth, free desserts, face-painting, kids activities, giveaways, and so much more! This wonderfully thought out social highlights local, work-from-home, military spouses and their businesses, as well as base support organizations. Entry is FREE and LSC membership isn't required to attend. We hope to see you all there!

Ps. It’s also Wing Wednesday, so the Club 56 kitchen and bar will be open!
