I finished building my shelf. Is it pretty…. Not quite but I love it🥰
Soooo…. Couple things my impatient behind learned…
1. Like anything else.. preparation is key
2. Measure ALL pieces again after purchase and check the quality. Yes we know inexpensive wood not the greatest but I had a whole piece that 12 inches or so was warped..
3. NO SAWING IN THE HOUSE.😩🤭
4. Allocate the time to take your time.
5. Most importantly… JUST DO IT! I’m not a carpenter, I knew what I wanted, I didn’t have instructions, watched a couple of videos for an understanding. When I went back to Home Depot, the gentleman was helpful but was over complicating my ask.. finally he asked do you have a circular saw.. I said no. His response “well yea just go buy a shelf, these over there are 12”-14” in width, this should be big enough for a printer”. I smile, “oh ok, thank you”….. Walks to the car, googling circular saw… send a text to .. because she is the only other woman I know who gets it popping in the DIY with some power tools lol….

Anyway this was fun, I would do it again.. how soon or what will it be.. who knows 😂😂

I had an amazing time yesterday at the Mix n’ Mingle networking event🤩. It is always refreshing to be in a space of woman business owners. Phenomenal ice breaker led by Business Therapist absolutely amazing!! I got my first henna tattoo and I absolutely love my butterflies. Thank you . The bingo game was a great idea because you learned fun facts about each other. Although we didn’t get a picture amazing & funny (fun fact: she’s a ♌️ too & our bday is literally the SAME day, it doesn’t get any better 😌lol). super awesome, we laughed and linked to watch perform… see girl we followed through 🤭. Sara & Kristen, you too ladies were just so sweet.
