Reporter Alex Ramirez asked Coach Prime "I recently had a medical condition... ...and thank God I had Aflac. How important is it for everyone to have Aflac as part of their life?"
Meet Ashley, who has been diligent for years about making time for skin cancer screenings with her dermatologist.
During a recent visit, that vigilance paid off in a powerful way. The skin check revealed Ashley had developed basal cell skin cancer.
Her proactive approach meant the cancer was caught extremely early and able to be treated right in the dermatologist's office.
We're incredibly grateful Ashley's skin cancer was caught early, and proud of her courage to share her story. When it comes to preventive checkups and routine care, your wellness matters.

With a little help from friends, anything is possible.
Aflac helped pre-K through 2nd graders experience what, for many, was their first live stage production — a musical adaptation of the beloved children's book "Giraffes Can't Dance" by Giles Andreae.
For most of the students, the field trip was not only their first time seeing a show at the grand RiverCenter for the Performing Arts in Aflac's hometown of Columbus, Georgia, but their very first musical theater experience ever.
It was an incredible morning for the nearly 300 students, and we were happy to support an experience that sparked creativity, imagination and a love of learning.
This June, we celebrate the courage and resilience of cancer survivors during National Cancer Survivors' Month. The journey isn't an easy one, but the strength and perseverance of survivors is truly inspiring.
Since 1995, Aflac has helped fund childhood cancer research and treatment. Our partners at Aflac Cancer & Blood Disorders Center have provided survivor care to 2,179 pediatric cancer survivors in the last five years.
We're honored to play a role in supporting those facing cancer through our products and resources.
According to the Cost of Dying 2024 report, 94.5% of people reported suffering from at least one negative physical or mental symptom after a loss of a loved one, and 84% said these symptoms had a harmful effect on their daily life. Grief and loss can continue to affect families for 10 months, well after they have returned to work.1
To assist with this need, Aflac Group Life, Absence, and Disability Solutions have partnered with Empathy, an innovative technology company that specializes in providing compassionate and comprehensive on-demand support for bereaved families to assist with the challenges they face after losing a loved one. Effective July 1, Empathy's loss support services will be available to Aflac Group Life, Absence, and Disability Solutions covered insureds and their beneficiaries under life insurance, to better manage grief and administrative burdens associated with the loss of a loved one. These services align with Aflac's commitment to provide care and value to our customers.
"Grief and loss are one of the most challenging times for families, and Aflac is committed to provide comprehensive support when our insureds and their families experience the loss of a loved one," said Aflac Senior Vice President, Group Life, Absence and Disability Solutions, Scott A. Beeman. "Our partnership with Empathy allows us to provide these needed support services to the beneficiaries and also extend the same services to our insureds."
