There are some recipes that bring back strong memories- for me, one of those recipes is Banana Bread. It’s hard not to think of my grandma and waiting on a fresh slice warm from the oven (or microwave later) with butter.

A coworker of mine mentioned she had never before had banana bread- so of course, that needed to be rectified. Now, it’s almost 10 and both loaves are out of the oven- one with chocolate chips and one without (she needs to try both, obviously).

I thank my well loved and much abused Better Homes and Gardens circa 1979 for my, slightly altered for the better, recipe.

Two and a half hours of cook time, three soups later, two prepped for Friday and a Creamy Lemon-Dill Chicken & Couscous soup for dinner.

Love my PC silicone bowl covers, because I keep running out of Tupperware, but I’ve no shortage of glass bowls 😂

Did I mention the deluxe cooking blender cleans itself?!

We are hosting a teacher appreciation soup bar for my daughter’s school on Friday, so I’m taking advantage of an early work day to make Creamy Chicken Wild Rice soup in my Deluxe Quick Cooker, and a Butternut Squash soup in my Deluxe Cooking Blender!

Happy Thanksgiving!! the feast is underway! Pull Apart Sour Cream and Chive rolls are proving now, on to making the stuffing and prepping the Turkey!

Cranberry Lime Pie, Chocolate Pecan pie, and broccoli salad completed so far!
