This gorgeous lady still have a ton of s***k left. We met her at the Discount Shoe store here in Asheville, NC. She was full of fun, jokes and you could tell she just loved life and meeting new people. We told her what we were there for and just passing through walking for domestic violence awareness. We shared some flyers and cards in case she ran into someone who needed help with domestic violence. When asked why was she still working she said because it keeps her mind working, keeps her young, she gets to meet awesome people like me everyday and she loves what she does. I then asked her what’s her secret to getting to her age? She said always keep God first in your life and always love your family. 🙂

Our work is cut out for today. So many victim families we’ll be reaching out to today. We have some domestic violence stories to update you with that was very moving and sad at the same time, but thank God they seen the light on the other side and got out before it got worse.

What are the chances of seeing someone from Huntsville, Alabama in Knoxville, TN. Meet David! I met David about 4 years ago in Huntsville, Alabama. He was down on his luck after losing his job and been homeless ever since. We helped him time to time with a place to live and food.

He recently came into a lump sum of funds and moved to Knoxville, TN. to be closer to family. He said his son is here, but he’s yet to locate him. I wish David the best and he does well with the money he received. Old habits tend to sneak back up depending on the company you keep. Best of luck David!

I’ve known Nikki Bhones for over a decade and she has been nothing but a true friend from the start and I just want you to know that I truly value your friendship over the years and I love you dearly.

It’s becoming more evident even on this tour for domestic violence, when I start talking to women about domestic violence the men around always disperse. Do they feel guilty? Are they abusers themselves? Even when I make posts I can count on one hand the men who respect what I do and comment, but the others never say anything.

I pray that you’re not physically or emotionally abusing the one you claim you love.

For the entire month of August, I will be fasting, praying and preparing for my walking journey across 6 states, in order to be mentally, spiritually and physically prepared.
