The City of Madison Clerk's Office recount of Alder District 14 ended in a tie. One of the ballots had a candidate's bubble clearly marked and also had marks in the write-in bubble. Instead of an overvote, the Wisconsin Elections Commission gave guidance to the Board of Canvassers to determine voter intent. The Board counted the vote for the candidate's bubble mark, which gave the tie. The City's Board of Canvassers drew Isadore Knox, Jr.'s name out of a bag as the winner.

Today clearly shows how important every vote is. Don't let chance decide the outcome of our democracy - make your voice heard by showing up to vote in every single election. 🗳️✅🤝
