What the heck are and .h.erika even doing?

Yesterday we brewed Grand Porter, the process which actually begins the day before with cracking 140 lbs of black malt into grain bags, then adding 3.5 gal of RO water to each bucket with 7 lbs of black malt…20 buckets total. 🪣

These steep overnight to get a smooth extraction, sort of like cold-brew coffee. We then strain the liquid out of the grain bags by hand - a great core and bicep workout 🏋️‍♀️ 😅

The result is a fruitier extract from the black malts, that comes out to play in our delicious Grand Porter 🧜‍♀️

Look for Grand Porter to return in a few weeks, and snag some Tropical Stout bottles in the meantime, while supplies last! 🍻
