On the bench today… Four shields, three different styles. Got lots of painting and stitching ahead of me!
Always a pleasure doing good work for good people. Stay lucky! 🎰
Two display shields went out this week 📣 🎰
Y’all really been testing me lately!
There isn’t a stamp for everything in every size, so sometimes you have to freehand it! This is a very special category of leatherwork known as “tooling,” which I have been avoiding since I got started in leatherwork almost three years ago. My attempt here is nothing close to the intricate works of most western style leather workers, but it’s something!
For an added bonus, a little premeditated patina with a quick splash of black dye 😎
For legal reasons, brim replacements are for display pieces only 🏆
Customer bought the black belt years ago from Gap and loved how nicely it contoured her body. Reached out to me to see if I could make a new one just like it but brown and brass. I’m a big fan of how nicely it turned out!
Believe it or not, there aren’t any online tutorials for making leather brain keychains 🤷🏼♀️
RN Paramedics do the most 💪🏼

In the last week, two gentlemen have asked if I can upgrade their Boston Leather straps—here are the results!
Stitching, painting, riveting tool pockets… Just ask!
Worlds collide…
This is the first time in a long time I’ve purchased a tool for leatherwork. I’ve always prided myself on being a simplistic and minimalistic leatherworker, being able to produce my work with only $40 worth of tools.
On a holiday spirit whim, I bought myself a new toy designed by the man who got me into the craft. “Mr. Corter” as some would call him, unknowingly kept me occupied for hours on end while I was incapacitated by Lyme disease and eventually helped me build my confidence to make my own radio strap. It was his Bob Ross presence on YouTube that kept me entertained yet calm and courageous throughout the entire process.
It’s definitely strange for me to talk about “Mr. Corter” in this friendly way, considering our interactions are entirely one-sided. He will never know who I am and likely never stumble upon me on Instagram, despite our somewhat close geographical proximity. Even then, he holds a special place in my heart.
I can’t wait to try this new toy out!
When you order from a small business, it’s personal. Expect a thank you card and a couple stickers as a display of gratitude!
I always loved the look of a natural leather Cairns—and so does this happy customer!

Here’s an example of a big thing in a small package! For scale reference, each of the squares are 1/2 inch

Thems are some nice bugles!
The newlyweds got a special work for their special day! For two horsey dog people, a nice leash made from old tack seemed fitting. Congrats again, L&L! ❤️
