Are you interested in returning to running or high intensity exercise post-partum or after a long break but are unsure where to start? At PTS Women's Health, we use a medically based return to running protocol that provides a comprehensive assessment of your body including abdominals and pelvic floor followed by an individualized program to guide you successfully back to running and more. This is covered by insurance, and we can help you obtain a referral from your physician, should one be required. We have had great success with returning to your favorite exercise routines while improving symptoms of pain, weakness, pelvic floor dysfunction like bladder leakage or prolapse, and abdominal diastasis. I know a lot of women have difficulty with how to transition back into running after birth and I am here to guide you (have done so successfully for myself for three babies as well as many patients). Running is a very accessible form of exercise for many of us that is low cost.
