Did you know that we care for more than just dogs and cats?

We have professional experience with
rabbits, chinchillas, parrots, ferrets, snakes, bearded dragons, horses, chickens, guinea pigs, hamsters, guinea fowl, lizards, fish, turtles, rats, and even hissing cockroaches!

We will be celebrating FIFTEEN YEARS of serving Dane County at Fired Up Pottery on 6/27! 🥳

Please RSVP online, as the venue can only accommodate a fixed number of people.

We will be having giveaways as well.

Paws and Claws is celebrating its 15th year of business. I can't believe we've been caring for pets in Dane County for a decade and a half!

Spring Break 2024! 🌷

We had the pleasure of caring for many amazing pets over the break.

Here are a few of the pets we cared for.

In order: Stormy, Butter, Maya, Yoshi, Freddy, Ritzy, Max, Cappuccino & Bell Pepper, Harvey, and Hinata. 🥳

We cared for cats, dogs, birds, guinea pigs, bearded dragons, and a turtle.

We are so glad we were able to give their pawrents peace of mind while they were away!

Eight years! That's how long we've cared for this pet family. 🥳8️⃣

Koda is a fun and sweet pup, and our crew loves playing with him! He's always SO happy. ⚡

Toby is a senior kitty who loves his food and attention. He's a sweetheart and loves to make his presence known! 🧡

Teddy likes to be the household supervisor. He'll follow you around and watch you to ensure you're doing a great job 😉

Marley likes his space. For the first time ever, this last set of visits, we were able to GIVE HIM A TREAT right from our hands! 🙌

Everybody who cares for pets understands the joy of shy pets trusting you enough to take a treat directly from you 🥹

We love that we have the pleasure of caring for Leo, a silly orange boy!

Leo's full name is "King Leopold Butterscotch." 🧡

While you’re out walking your pups, feel free to grab some treats from the Little Free Libraries near you, courtesy of Paws and Claws 😇

Each baggie has the treat types and brands listed on the back for our dog friends with allergies or sensitivities. We have Charlee Bear and Old Mother Hubbard treats in there!

We are still visiting pups today! When temperatures are extreme, we always listen to the pups and shorten our outside time. We watch for signs of cold for safety reasons. Today, we are doing potty breaks and playtime/snuggles inside!

We always wipe paws after being out on the sidewalks and roads.

Winter gear is important for dogs, too! Make sure your dog has a coat if necessary and look into booties for their paws. Dog snoods are great too, especially for breeds with long necks like greyhounds and long ears like spaniels.

Dog walkers and pet sitters needed! ** MADISON AREA **

Must be able to commit to at least 10 hours a week.

Dog walkers: Must be available during lunchtime hours consistently on weekdays. (10:30 am - 2 pm)

Must:
Have experience caring for animals
Be able to walk dogs for 30 minutes at a time
Be able to handle dogs of all sizes
Have reliable transportation
Have a smart phone

Love dogs, cats, and other pets? This is the perfect job for you!

Experience at animal shelters, veterinarian offices, kennels and/or training facilities a plus but not necessary.

A background check will be conducted.
