Balancing form with function is a hallmark of great design, exemplified in the Timberline project. “We used performance-grade fabrics and durable leathers for the main pieces, then paired this with interesting luxury pattern fabrics for accents. Every piece was chosen to maximize seating and usability for the many guests who would use the home,” Laura shared.

In the living areas, Laura’s approach shines. “Comfy, strong furniture is key for big groups,” she said. “But we didn’t want to sacrifice style. We chose a rustic, waxed leather sectional with a chaise, paired with a hair-on-hide patchwork ottoman that adds texture and color, making the space feel dynamic and lived-in.”

When the Master bedroom makes a statement like THIS, the master bathroom needs to match. Now that’s harmony! 🎶

The designer’s vision was to recreate the essence of a childhood cabin and favorite haunts, making it both sophisticated and welcoming.

In the bedroom, comfort and nostalgia coalesce to create a peaceful retreat. The carved cherry four-poster bed serves as the room's elegant anchor, enveloped by a plush white down comforter. Plaid euro pillows and a coordinating bench add a touch of cozy, rustic flair. Two framed antique swimsuits on the walls bring in a dash of lake house history. A soft cream and blue rug lies underfoot, adding another layer of warmth to the white-walled space and compliments our custom window treatments. To complete the look, a cherry two-drawer nightstand stands at the ready, offering both style and utility. A room designed for restful nights and leisurely mornings at the lake. 🦆
